Motel 6 Carlsbad, CA - North

Room was a great price compared to other hotels in the area. We loved that it came with a fridge and microwave. The room floor was super dirty, our socks where black after walking on the floors. The bed was hard and not comfortable. The front staff was business only, no greetings or thank yous. The cleaning staff were very friendly.

The room smelled like smoke. Not enough pillows. No blanket for the bed. Rate was high compared to the room received.

I like this Motel 6. However, last night they put me next-door to two yapping dogs that were in pet friendly room that woke me up at 4:30 with the dogs yapping and then again at 7 AM

This property was nice. A lot of freeway noise. It was convenient and near restaurants and shopping and a short drive to Legoland.

Normally they would have lost a star for the incidents that happened while I was there but the way they handled it is why they still got full stars. First there was a hair and two of the towels folded into them but they were super apologetic and replaced them right away. More than likely they had gotten stuck to the towels in the dryer it's not uncommon so I wasn't about to freak out. The second thing is I extended my stay and it didn't update in the system so they were able to rebook my room and it was awkward when somebody let them self into my room and was super confused why I was in there. But again they were super apologetic for the oversight and the delayed system update. Honestly all kinds of things are going to happen but it's how the staff handles it that makes all the difference. Wonderful staff and they cleaned exceptionally well during my stay so I will definitely go back.

Very close to the freeway. Lots of noise.

I was with kids so i need more space. A simple coffee machine will be very helpful.

Air conditioning was top notch especially since it was soooo hot out there. Room was super clean and while we were out they kept up with the cleanliness. Also I asked for a queen bed since I had my little with me but I don’t think it was bc it was actually really small /: but other than that it was the best stay I had in a motel since forever!

Hair on the bed and towels when I arrived. It’s dated and not clean but in a pinch, it works for a night.

Room was clean and looked like the floors were new. Room was huge and very functional.

I would stay again.

Expedia is a joke! They showed my trip as “cancelled” and then charged me for it! Avoid Expedia at all times!

Didn’t like the rooms being situated externally off the building. Noisy, could hear everything outside. Parking was fine and rooms seemed clean but very outdated.

What a great experience. Super clean and safe.

But I needed a deposit of $100 cash. This is not acceptable in my book of travelling. He would not take my credit card info manualy since I can't slide the card

It was good for a motel 6. I felt very safe (female solo traveler). The staff were nice and helpful.
