Comfort Inn Carmel By The Sea

Close to Pebble Beach and Carmel by the Sea.

The location was very handy. It is right on the edge of the beautiful Carmel and within walking distance of everything. Don't stay here. Our room was on the ground floor next to the maids room. We heard running and banging above us all night every night. Our bed was worn out with a lump in the middle. We had very little sleep. For the "comfort" Inn we were not comfortable or rested. We stayed for 4 nights and left exhausted. We only went to our free breakfast once. It was not great. My bagel was dry and hard. Too hard to eat. The eggs were disgusting and brought to the serving tray by staff on a microwaved paper plate. Very unreal looking and tasting eggs. We arrived for our breakfast 5 min after the posted opening time but the breakfast room was still locked. I asked about that 30 min. later when we returned for breakfast and the receptionist said she was late. Not very handy for the price we paid for this stay. We will not return to this Inn.

Right off Ocean Avenue so walking distance to everything. Parking is very limited.

The location is very convenient, close to all restaurants and shops. The beds are very comfortable, clean comfortable rooms and the staff members are very attentive and friendly. Parking is very limited; neighborhood residents will park in hotel parking, making it even more limited. This is not a fault of the hotel itself but of inconsiderate neighbors and a city-wide problem.

The photos didn't give me a true view of the room or the outside of the hotel. I was a little disappointed when I first saw it. The parking is tight and not much, but we stayed put except for the first evening. There needs to be a STOP sign on Ocean Ave as turning left is treacherous. I even saw a couple of collisions. The b'fast was very basic, could have done with more variety or better quality foods. But as far as being right on Ocean and not far from the beach it worked. Rooms were a lot smaller than I'm used to. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet which I like. The traffic on Ocean- needs a stop sign for safety. There was some dust in the air vents. Rooms were smaller. B'fast could have been better. Otherwise not bad. Hubby loved the shower, great water pressure. Quiet

Very clean, great location, good breakfast!! Lovely lady in the front. It was a bit warm in the room at first, but there was a fan , so ok. Parking might be tricky, we were lucky!!!

Great Parking is a little hard

The ventilation is really bad, and the noise from the washing machine was too much.

Good location, very clean. Very noisy, got woken up by construction/delivery at 6.30AM.

Close to shopping and only 15 min walk to beach. Very clean. Helpful staff. Chairs on patio to sit outside. Good coffee machine in office. Comfy bed and pillows. Noisy street nearby. Breakfast was just ok. Not always easy to get a parking spot. Room was small.

Location, comfortable. Most accommodations in Carmel are a bit disappointing, and this fit into that realm. It’s fine, but it’s just a motel. And our room was in a funky location down a short hall right next to the housekeeping closet, so housekeeping activity could be heard.
