The Loutrel

The Loutrel is by far the nicest hotel in Charleston. Whenever I'm visiting the area, I always make a point of staying there. It's 5-stars, for sure!

- Great location, walkable to so many things - Wonderful service, helpful and attentive staff - Clean and modern yet still had that Charleston charm - Really appreciated the welcome cocktail and daily happy hour with free drinks and snacks! - Also appreciated the free snacks and drinks in the room - Loved the "DIY" beverage bar that was out at all times with fresh flavored water and accompaniments (and much needed in the August Charleston heat!!) - Delicious included breakfast with a lot of options Truly felt like a luxurious, relaxing get away. Definitely don't think twice about staying at The Loutrel if all of the above sounds great.

Our room was so spacious and beautifully decorated. The bed and linens crisp and comfortable. Room also well appointed with snacks and beverages. Daily breakfast is another lovely treat- great way to start the day. Location of the property is also perfect! Walkable to the water, sites, restaurants and shopping! Will definitely stay again in the future!

This property is beautifully decorated and has a more intimate feel. The valet service was exceptional; additionally, the entire staff was friendly, pleasant, and professional. I would only stay here in Charleston if I visit again.

Very clean, well appointed rooms and public spaces. Friendly, helpful staff. My only drawback was the breakfast offerings were very similar to standard mid-level hotels.

Amazing hotel, with the most helpful and friendly staff I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Beautiful, clean rooms, excellent location within walking distance of everywhere you want to be. Such a great experience, I can’t imagine ever staying anywhere else in Charleston. We traveled with my 16 and 20 yr old and they loved it too. One suggestion: get Bacardi behind the bar, that Hilton Head rum was like drinking lighter fluid. Thank you!

Everything was perfect!

Great location, helpful staff and they don’t tell you about the free mini bar when you reserve it but it is there!

The staff was amazing. Everyone stopped to say hello. Our two kids enjoyed the snacks and drinks. They liked hanging out in the mezzanine lounge. Look at the parking lot over here. This is probably just a drive-through.We enjoyed the bar. The choices were great for kids and adults.

We absolutely love staying at The Loutrel whenever we visit Charleston. This was our third stay, and it truly feels like coming back to a place that’s both special and welcoming. Everything is always spotless, and the hotel has such a beautiful, cozy feel. We especially love the lobby — it’s so charming and inviting, and it sets the tone for a relaxing stay from the moment you walk in. The Loutrel has become such a memorable part of our Charleston trips, and we already look forward to coming back again.

Staff went above and beyond, advice, sunscreen, whatever we needed. Beyond that the availability of Fiji and Pelegrino waters was awesome to stay hydrated during a hot spell in Charleston

Our stay at The Loutrel was amazing. They take excellent care of their guests. Breakfast was delicious every morning, as were the cocktails, the nightly one-bite desserts, and the mezzanine level that was stocked with snacks! I would recommend The Loutrel to anyone considering a stay in Charleston. The location and service can’t be beat!
