Comfort Inn Charleston South

Clean and pretty quiet. Like others have said, parking is sketchy but if you drive around to the back of the hotel, there’s plenty of space.

2nd- the TV & internet were horrible, some channels were for blind people, other channels no sound, other channels Spanish. For the prices you charge basic things should work. 3rd -the sheets had stains- rule of thumb throw it away if there is a stain especially a stain that looks like it from blood- use peroxide sometimes it get the stain out. 4th -there was hair ib the sheets- all sheets blankets pillow cases & bedspread should be washed after evey guest stay.. 5th -the garbage by the pool should probably be changed everyday, the cans were so full & it was like 90° it smelled like a dumpster, had to drag cans away from table we sat at. 6th- continental breakfast- it was fine I suppose, but again for the prices you charge ypu could pick a lil better quality products like eggs, & sausage- may also offer pork free option. Would not recommend if you are particular, would not stay again. Fyi- most of the staff was helpful & friendly.

Hotel did the job. Price was good. Breakfast was good. Beds were comfortable. Not the best neighbourhood. Volume wasn't working on all the tv channels. Overall, good stay.

Very rude staff and unclean rooms

Was very basic for the price. Beds were clean but overall room was a bit dirty. We will find another nearby hotel next time.

The carpets were worn and dirty, the sheets were stained, the area was sketchy and the first room smelled terrible like mildew. We never even tried the breakfast.

Based on a lot of reviews I thought this would be a better quick stop than it was. I would have asked for a different room if we got there earlier. The staff is super nice and the breakfast was decent. The room however was crawling with tiny ants. To the point I sprayed bug spray on the side table so they wouldn’t crawl on the bed. I think they had a home in the headboard. I mean a lot of tiny ants. Mold in the bathroom. Just definitely not what I was expecting.

Terrible order in our room, overall the place was not clean!!!!!

Comfortable beds

Front desk gent was helpful & pleasant. Bathroom pocket door didn't latch and the toilet seat needs repaired. Breakfast was fine.

Excellent location and nice hotel

Property is not well maintained. Amenities are minimal. Breakfast options low quality are r little offered. Pool is isolated across parking lot next to a dive-bar. If you need a quick stop for sleep on a long trip and you have little care about the stay this might suit you, but for the price per night there are many better nearby options.

Good, clean, quiet place to rest.

The water pressure in the shower was so weak it barely got the shampoo out of my hair.

Negatives: We couldn't tell if we were staying at a Quality or Comfort Inn as both brands were reflected in the hotel signage and at the desk. We paid too much for what should have been up to Comfort Inn standards but was not. The TV didn't work well, the carpet was old and stained, and there was a bad odor in our room when we checked in. The furnishings were also very dated, though cleanliness appeared to be pretty good other than the carpets. Finally, the elevator didn't work well and was very beat up.

Room was well cleaned and the breakfast was well stocked. The night front desk staff was not so helpful and wasn't paying much attention when doing the check-in process.
