Comfort Inn Charleston South

Needs deep cleaning! Will go elsewhere if ever again in Charleston.

Everything was great and clean. Exactly what you'd expect. This was our second time staying here and we specifically chose it because of how great everything was last time and we weren't disappointed. Matt at the desk was very friendly and helpful. He even knew about the hidden button to change TV inputs!

At one point the smoke detector started beeping so they switched our rooms. The second room smelled very badly of damp so we asked to change again. They moved us again and the new room smelled totally fine again. Also, the elevator was slightly sketchy. Continental breakfast was decent. Location was safe, not a bad neighborhood or anything. I think they did a landlord special on it a few years back and so it's starting to look dingy. Overall the hotel was fine. Nothing to write home about but certainly not the worst place to stay. Staff was nice though!

Rooms dated. Carpet dirty, but room was clean.

Room had (what I guessed) was puke from a previous stay and woke up to ants all over the night stand and bed. (Sugar ants to be specific) only offered partial refund.

Parking lot a bit sketchy, tight. Breakfast, well, we passed. Overall, great night of much- needed, peaceful rest after a 16 hour day of driving.

The check in was flawless and the staff were friendly and pleasant. The breakfast had a good variety to choose from. The hotel and the room were clean. The hotel was also located close to the expressway.

We enjoyed our stay. The room is clean and a friendly staff. The place is convenient to everything

1st room assigned was not cleaned, bed not made. 2nd room ok. There were a lot of young boys running around in the halls; knocking on doors and running away. Had to call desk to complain. If not addressed, would have called the police. Probably would not stay there again. Sign at the road said comfort suites, but sign on building said quality inn. Very confusing!

The hotel was conveniently located near the expressway and restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The gentleman checking us in acted like we were bothering him . When we got to our room the smell was really bad very mushy smelling. Flushed the toilet and it just kept on running. I went back to the desk and there was a different guy working who was really nice and gave us a different room which was so much better.

Great location and very friendly. The bed was uncomfortable and very high for a 5'1 person to get into. The eggs were not real eggs but from a nasty powder.

The room was very nice and clean, and the air conditioning worked well. The breakfast was good, and there were a lot of places to eat nearby. The immediate local neighborhood was okay, but not great.

Odd damp smell to the rooms. Other than that it was a good stay.

L There is going on between Comfort Inn & Quality Inn with this hotel when you show up you see Quality Inn, but it is a Comfort Inn, both are posted on the hotel which is very confusing. This must be why they have such a high rating. The breakfast sucks.

The air conditioning kinda making a funny Noise. But quite after a few minutes
