Comfort Inn Charleston South

Good, clean, quiet place to rest.

The water pressure in the shower was so weak it barely got the shampoo out of my hair.

Negatives: We couldn't tell if we were staying at a Quality or Comfort Inn as both brands were reflected in the hotel signage and at the desk. We paid too much for what should have been up to Comfort Inn standards but was not. The TV didn't work well, the carpet was old and stained, and there was a bad odor in our room when we checked in. The furnishings were also very dated, though cleanliness appeared to be pretty good other than the carpets. Finally, the elevator didn't work well and was very beat up.

Room was well cleaned and the breakfast was well stocked. The night front desk staff was not so helpful and wasn't paying much attention when doing the check-in process.

This was one of the nicer places of our recent stays! The staff was excellent, breakfast was decent, and the place was well maintained. If i had ANY negative, it was simply that the bathroom sink and tub drained a bit too slowly and took a while to completely empty. We've recent stayed in a few places that just weren't up to speed...our stay this time was much more comfortable, the bed was nice, and everything was in good shape!

TV was set to Spanish.

I choose it for the pool, but the pool is in the middle of the parking lot, so I don’t recommend it. but the staff were great and it’s very clean.

Very good breakfast. Room fairly quiet. Comfy bed.

All their rooms stinks as mold smells

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special as it was our first family vacation. The hotel is very quiet - perfect for our newborn baby. The rooms are clean and spacious and parking is free! Can’t say enough good things about this place. We will definitely be back!

Except for the doors!! Why the doors are slamming every time they close. It is really loud and annoying during the night.

The staff. The room was dark and everything was outdated.

Great staff. Nice selection from coffee machine at breakfast. Comfie beds. River view. Uber to downtown area reasonable 12.00. Brown colored bedroom walls.

The place was nice the rooms were nice. The beds were so so uncomfortable it felt like sleeping on the floor.
