Quality Inn Charleston South

It was ok for a quick overnight stop. But the rooms are old, not maintained that well and the carpet in the rooms is worn out. We won't be staying here again on our return trip.

I was in building three and the hotel smelled like an Indian restaurant crossed with mothballs. Fortunately, my room was OK. It was just the common areas that smelled very odd.

Everything was just fine as expected. Perfect place for an overnight stay!!

Great spot! Walking distance for food and close to gas station if you’re traveling through!

Checking for the hotel was in another building under another hotel name. A little confusing.

This hotel needs to be updated. It has a dingy/grimy feel. The carpet is old and stained, the towels are threadbare. It is clean enough, but these are things housekeeping can’t make better. Our first room was ground level of building 1 and there was a terrible musty/mold odor. We were offered another room further up the hall which was just as bad. Then we were taken to the 2nd floor and that was much better, but still had a slight odor. The staff was accommodating and the breakfast was good, but with the odor and the overall feel of the hotel I would not stay again.

This hotel is in 3 separate buildings. Didn't feel safe at all. Glad only there about 14 hours. Didn't trust tub to bathe or shower. Looked old, run down and dirty. Only bright point was breakfast

The rooms were clean and they have good breakfast, the front desk staff was really helpful.

Two guys at front desk when checked in. One very nice and polite, other one curt and kind of rude. Property sort of run down. Room had new paint and bed was fairly comfortable, but bathroom needs updating. And coffee maker could be upgraded. Also the soundproofing is not very good... could hear doors slamming in middle of night.

Room said non smoking but reeked of old smoke, almost gave me a head ache.

TV didn’t work in first room and the room was dank and smelled like mold. Staff quickly resolved our issues by moving us to a better room, no smell, and working TV. Everyone was very nice!

There was a cockroach in our room. Asked to change rooms, went to swap keys and there was a snake in the foyer area by the lobby. Went to our new room & it reeked of pot. 0/10.

Convenient location, nice bed, very clean bathroom with roomy bathtub. Nice & quiet! Stayed in bldg. 3. Rather sterile lobby, but clean.

We had a terrible experience checking in. We contacted the property in the afternoon and told them that we will not be able to reach by check in end time at 3 AM. The guy who picked up the phone was really nice and told us they have people available on front desk 24/7 who will be happy to help and not to worry to proceed. Around 11.30 PM at night we called them again and let them know that we are on our way and will be reaching by 4 AM as we mentioned earlier about the delay, the lady who picked up this time was actually rude and told us they will not be able to check us in as we are late and mark us NO SHOW. We requested many times that what we will do as we are new to the area, she insisted that is their policy and can't do anything. We called hotels.com and the agent tried to help us and called property on behalf of us to at least try as we are driving almost 9 hours. But nope, nothing changed. Horrible experience we had.

Very dirty, stained upholstery chair, dirty floor, bath sink falling off wall, tub drain rusty & moves around, I asked for non smoking no animal room & smelled like both. Fire alarm sounded at midnight but no fire,
