Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Charleston South, WV

Needs some updating, could have been cleaner.

The property is not well maintained at this juncture, furniture in our room was broken and in disrepair. The room had no towels and I had to go to the front desk to obtain the towels and they did not have wash have wash cloths. The bedspread had a stain on it and should not have been in the room from the start. Elevator floor and stainless were dirty, carpets need repair and cleaning or replaced. I suggest the latter. Carpeting in bedroom was dirty and we kept our shoes on do to this circumstance. Breakfast was okay place did not have cream cheese for the bagels they were out of the product. Staff person handling the breakfast area was very friendly. I stayed her back in the 90's and the facility has definitely gone downhill

Had no controller for the tv for 2 days. Wasn’t a very good experience had to go and get toilet paper after we had just got there. The body wash was empty not good up keep.

Staff was amazing. They even opened the pool early for my little girl

All of the staff were amazing. They were very friendly, helpful and genuine. The pool was small, but well maintained and the water was a comfortable temperature. Breakfast was simple, but tasty…especially the make-your-own waffles. The furniture in the rooms could use some updating, but was functional. We will definitely go back when we are in the area.

The hotel is tired, with large stains on the hall carpet. The tv was advertised as premium channels, but every channel said unavailable. Our room had not been restocked.

Property was very dirty and run down. Sheets had stains and there was old beard clippings on bathroom floor. Some light didn't work. Over all pretty deplorable.

Kids friendly and great staff. Stayed for a week and was very comfortable

Stay was nice and staff was nice. Had trailer parking sorta so that was nice. Room did has a smell to it but not sure what the smell was but it was tolerable. Would stay again in a pinch but would maybe book something nicer in the future.

Parking was great. The grounds were clean. Breakfast was great.Good variety. Staff was cordial. Never encountered a cleaning staff.our room was dirty. Floors poorly mopped, dust thick on table and not washed or polished. Entertainment center was broken and splintered. The room smelled. The air filters in the conditioner were very dirty. Bathroom tub mat was surrounded by dirt. The towel holders kept falling to the floor. Draperies were wrinkled. Front desk was very nice about a full refund of $80 dollars due to the fact that currently there was no wifi or cell service available! This amount was not on my invoice. We stayed because we both were very tired driving from NC to W Va. Please tell someone to check on room 122. Thank you for reading this review. I sincerely hope this is remedied. The breakfast was good. The carpets have bleach stains. My room wasn't vacuumed when I arrived. My remote didn't work. The room was dusty and there was shampoo splattered on the bathroom wall. The bed was comfy but the highway noise made it hard to sleep.

Not impressed

I have stayed at several Country Inns and have found them clean and well maintained. The ground floor of this one looked great, however once you made it to the second floor, it smells very damp. The room I was given, the bureau front was busted and pieced together, the ceiling had water spots throughout, and the bathroom looked like the previous stay had a toothpaste war as there was blue toothpaste smeared around the walls which had not been cleaned up. The staff were friendly both during check-in and check out. This hotel just needs some serious cleaning and updating.

Property was very nice, especially for the price. The room was very clean and well keep. Beds were comfortable and the furnishings were very nice.Breakfast was wonderful nice choices, and good food, Ty the breakfast host was great. Met Nicole, the general manager. She seemed very interested in how my stay was going and that everything was appropriate and proper. Amber and Bryant at the front desk were wonderful. I like the lobby coffee and evening cookies. Hotel is pet friendly with several guests having their pups with them.Indoor pool was very nice and stayed open late. Parkingwas fine without a problem finding an open space. Only complaint was their Internet kept going outa lot. Was able to get a good 5G signal and you cell data insead.

This room was not clean.

We found out today that 5 months ago there were 7 people on cleaning staff. Now there are only 2. They are trying their best to keep up, but that’s a difficult job for a three story hotel. The location was convenient but the stay wasn’t worth the lower price.

Check in and out was easy. Room was clean. Staff was very helpful.

It was a decent valve. Staff was nice.

Breakfast was good.
