Everything was truly good

Nothing, simply one of the worst experiences that we ever had at an hotel. Just avoid this at all cost and spend your money somewhere else... We ended going to a La Quinta in a nearby town instead. The staff was one of the rudest and useless that we ever faced. This hotel is supposed to be "pet friendly" (that's what it says at Booking.com), but when we said that we were travelling with our cat, they just refused to check us in, letting us without a place to stay after a large roadtrip. There were two employees from India in there, which they were speaking Hindi between them and with their "manager" over the phone (I'm not even sure if they were actually speaking to their manager at all, to be honest). They even pulled their policy from their website, which says "dogs allowed", NOT "dogs only" or "no cats or any other pets" and they made all sort of excuses and treated us like garbage. I think rating it with a 1 is even too much...

Staff was very helpful and friendly

It was clean, comfortable, and pet friendly. There seemed to be a lot of sketchy looking people staying at the property who were always outside sitting on the steps with their opened alcohol containers. They were loud but didn't bother me. Also, the AC was very loud when it kicked on.

The front desk man was wonderful. Sorry I do not remember his name. He offered us a coupon for Texas Roadhouse which we walked there for dinner. Parking was well lit, room was clean but Hampton needs to upgrade their toilets. I thought I was falling, they are so low. Breakfast was hot and easy to navigate.

I booked this thinking it would be a good, inexpensive, and safe place to stay. Unfortunately, that was not the case. It appeared that people were actually living there, and there were creepy-looking men hanging around everywhere. Even my husband felt uncomfortable and thought the place was sketchy. To make matters worse, the listing showed a nice hotel with a pool, which was very misleading. The property we arrived at was nothing like the photos and was in very poor condition. We ended up spending an additional $167 on another hotel because we did not feel safe staying there. I would not recommend this place, especially for families with children or women traveling alone.
