We arrived early in the day from our flight and the reception and housekeeping team were more than accommodating and worked to get a room ready for check in well before check in time! The room was clean and modern. The staff was friendly and helpful. It’s conveniently right next to a Starbucks. We walked downtown every day for lunch or dinner. Would stay again!

Room was clean, staff was friendly. My booking details showed parking was included in the rate I paid, but I still had to pay for parking upon arrival. The kitchen staff was also out upon arrival so I could not get food at the Bistro.

What they don’t tell you is there is a $10 car parking fee. They ask you for your drivers plate but they don’t tell you what it’s for. I had to ask employee why they needed my plate number to which she replied, so it’s only guests in the parking lot. I then asked if they were charging me for parking to which she replied, oh yeah just $10. I think their are laws about upfront pricing.

Nice hotel. Don’t expect breakfast on Sunday it’s not available. This hotel like many others charge to park in their parking lot. Not valet mind you just a regular parking lot. It’s just price gouging to the max! What else will they start charging for?

We stayed one night and it was lovely! Would definitely stay at this hotel again!

Spacious room - immaculate. Bathroom - immaculate. Housekeeping staff was attentive to our needs - excellent. Outdoor seating options-great. Check in staff - wonderful. My only complaints - why can't Marriot offer breakfast included with your stay? It's more expensive than other nearby hotels that offer breakfast. I realize I am paying for better accommodations - but in this economy, it would be nice. The only other complaint is having to pay for parking - though I understand that is not Marriot, but the city of Charleston. Not much to do in the city. The number of unhoused people is definitely a deterrent to staying downtown. Overall, since we had to be in Charleston, this was the best accommodation.

The Courtyard Marriott was right across the street.

I did not like that I had to pay for parking. We paid to stay at the hotel, parking in the hotel parking lot is a given. I also didn't see anything online about paying for parking. To be honest I saw a description of the hotel and it had "free parking" listed along with wifi and all the other amenities. Don't worry, I'll be checking for this practice from here going forward. We won't darken your doors ever again.

Good location and convenient You have to pay separately for parking which is odd, to pay to park in the hotels lot.
-
Clean The manager on duty refused an extra blanket. With persistence another staff member provided one right away. Breakfast was unavailable Sunday morning. The body wash container was empty. We had to pay for overnight parking in the hotel parking lot!
-
Everything was fine just way overpriced you pay for parking there’s no breakfast unless you buy it and the room was double what I would pay anywhere else

The hotel stay was good and staff was friendly. Only issue I had which is my fault for not looking cause it does have that in the details on hotels.com, is that I had to pay $11 for parking. My issue is they price gouge for the room because of the concert we were going to but then realizing I also had to pay for parking. I have never paid for hotel parking in my life except once cause they had limited parking, you may have to park in a parking garage but you just brought ticket to front desk and they validated it for you so no charge.
