Quality Inn & Suites Charleston - Civic Center

The WiFi barely worked so not an ideal place if you are traveling for work.

Everything was good besides my room I had ants in my bed and on my table

Hotel had a very horrible smell. Half the lights didn't work. In a very bad section of town with homeless on every corner!

Not a good area to park. and the main entrance is in the back of the building

Cheap and near city center My Bicycle was stolen off my vehicle in the light of the parking lot, they have no cameras and police told me it's the worst area for theft after the fact.

When arriving, there were 2 people working the front desk. One was with a customer, the other sat there and didn’t acknowledge that we were even there. We had to wait for the one person to finish checking in. When we got to our floor, the overwhelming smell of pot was crazy. It smelled horrible and honestly was making me sick at my stomach. Thankfully the room did not smell like that. Luckily, we were only staying overnight and was not going to be there much. After changing clothes we left for our concert. Upon arriving back to the hotel, the lobby, elevator, and our floor smelled like pot this time. I was so thankful to leave this morning. Check out was not until noon, but we left as soon as we could.

No sign at parking lot entrance. Only sign is 10 floors up and not lit at night. Wasn’t sure if I was at right location. 10-12 people sleeping on the street across the street. Unmarked hotel, just all seemed a little shady. It said 3 star hotel- looked like 2 star. Did

The step was the best thing about the hotel the hotels run down it was clean, but it needs a lot of work Being in in a hotel that was basically empty and there were 20 people out on the street that were homeless and had no place to go. I worried about my car most of the night. I worried about the people most of the night whether they were comfortable. The noise from the air conditioner was horrible at rattled all night, long, but I could hear the people over top of that then I thought well maybe I’ll have a decent breakfast to find staff downstairs in the breakfast area and one of them coughed all over the food so we just walked out

Love the staff. Cheap and friendly place to stay

Ok...to be fair...this hotel is right next to a shelter. There were a lot of homeless people around close to downtown. But, once inside, the staff was friendly, the environment was clean and the room was well kept. It was not clear where the front door was...so strange, but once I called, Cory guided me to the correct location. I slept well...the room was clean, the breakfast was decent, and the staff is good. I don't think there are better locations closer to the Children's Hospital, so it all worked out fine.

Our toilet didn’t work the entire time. It was clogged. We let the front desk know and the woman just said oh I’m sorry about that… also our air conditioner barely worked and we were in Charleston West Virginia in 100% humidity. When you stay at a hotel one of the reasons is so that you have a toilet and air conditioner… otherwise we could have camped!

The outside was very unkept and had no locks on the outside doors
