Suburban Studios Charleston - Civic Center

Nice room. Room was clean. The property was littered with trash. Security is non-existent. Door opens automatically to one elevator that provides access to all floors. Location is good for civic center. Staff was fantastic! Guy at check in was quick, polite and efficient. He had a long line & handled it with grace and ease. I'd hire him for my front line.

It was clean and a great deal! Staff was amazing and the room was awesome! Parking lot car was safe. Only downfall was pop machine was sold out and offline for purchases .

--hallway smelled weird all the time -- housekeeping just got done with the room but floors filthy (beds got dirty after we walked on the floor --beds were comfortable, pillows fine. --AC worked --friendly staff

Wonderful location, wonderful staff, and terrific breakfast.

Clean. Pretty Spartan. It got the job done and they actually had a decent breakfast. Would stop again if I ever pass through this area in the future.

The air conditioning whistled all night. Room was nice and clean but the hotel entrance was scary. They need to spend time and money on a better entrance to the hotel. It was like we were going in the backdoor.

The hotel is an older building, but is very conveniently located in Charleston West Virginia. The rooms are very clean. The front desk staff are wonderful and the morning breakfast is better than any other hotel I’ve ever stayed and that’s a no joke.

We stayed here because it was inexpensive. We got a flat tire during our trip and had to wait until the next morning for our new tire to arrive. The hotel suited our purpose, but it’s not someplace I would choose to stay under normal circumstances.

Served it’s purpose a cheap room for a night on our way to the beach no issues at all room was clean

I was disappointed when I arrived at this hotel after a long drive. It appeared to be in an unsafe area and many people milled around outside. The staff was friendly, but the room was not very clean and had not been restocked before we arrived. Ants were visible on the counters and an unclean smell was in the room and the bathroom. The hallway carpet was dirty. I would drive a little farther to Hurricane, WV

Looked ok by the photos but upon arriving, the location of this hotel was super sketchy, homeless people everywhere outside and did not feel safe for my family to stay at. Luckily Expedia was kind enough to help us cancel our reservation here and stay somewhere else!

The place was well kept with kitchen. Only issue was outside of the hotel. Didn’t feel safe.

Location was close to GoMart Ballpark

Not the greatest neighborhood, but the bed was clean and comfortable, however the floor was filthy (as my husband had white socks on and they were black). A lot of humidity in the room and it seemed damp. Went down once to ask a question to the person working the front desk - nowhere to be found. Also asked later about pizza places - he mentioned Domino's(?) but we found a Pies & Pints a few blocks away (which was really good!) Picked this place because it was close to 77 and it had breakfast, but not sure I'd stay here again.

Clean room great staff excellent breakfast. Outside grounds not very welcoming.

It was easy to find and welcoming Breakfast was limited, no milk for cereal and lack of drinks other than coffee
