Sonesta ES Suites Charleston

Beautiful location, staff very friendly, room was very clean, parking was a breeze, breakfast was hot and delicious 😋 with a variety of items to choose from, the coffee ☕️ was amazing 👏 first time staying here, usually stay at Embassy Suites on our way back and forth from Michigan to North Carolina and back, multiple times a year but they were sold out, glad they were, we will definitely be staying here instead:)

My vehicle broke down two hours away from the location I messaged and called to cancel due to my unfortunate circumstances and they still charged me the full rate so I had to pay several thousands of dollars for my car repair and pay the hotel I never stayed at…

A fine economical stay for a quick overnight. The staff was very kind!

The size of the room was great but it is in need of updating and was not cleaned thoroughly. There were dishes still in the dishwasher, no refill of dishwasher detergent, old food and dead bugs on the floor, and dried pee still on the outside of the toilet bowl.

Stay was great until we turned down the bed to sleep. The sheets were obviously “used”. There were crusty stains of body fluids as if someone had relations and the sheets weren’t changed. We had to go to the front desk to get clean bedding and change it all ourselves. That was the only disappointing part of our stay. We were pretty disgusted by that. We were very tired and had to get all that taken care of before we could go to bed.

Trash in one trashcan from former occupants and used tissues in nightstand. The chair was filthy in the living room. We used clean towels to cover that. For an accessible room, the living room had low furniture. Also, children running in the hallways were noisy and a danger to handicapped persons, so parents need to teach their children better manners!!! Once staff was made aware, issues were being addressed.

I always love the quietness of this property and it’s remoteness from the hustle and bustle of downtown Charleston. I wish they would upgrade the coffee makers!

Room was dirty. Kitchen not up to standards. You get what you pay for

Our room was pretty dirty. Thankfully, there was a spare blanket to cover the couch with before we sat on it. In each of the bathrooms, there were long strands of hair in the bathtub and on the floor.

Overall a great stay. Kids loved the pool and the basketball court. Welcoming staff. The hallways were stinky 1 of the 2 days. Towels nowherebto be found. Breakfast is way to short running from 630 to 830 am it gets crowded... im sure all the snickers around charleston ruined it by eating 2 meals a day being cheap skates.

The rooms were clean and very spacious. Breakfast was very well done with a lot of options.

Everything was just perfect except the bed was a bit too stiff. The room was spacious and very clean, the front desk and other staff were all so nice. Breakfast was great as well. The pool was clean and inviting.

Very clean, more than I expected and perfect after being on the road all day. Big rooms, clean, and a friendly staff. And the breakfast was excellent.

The property was off the main road, which made it very quiet. Breakfast was great. The light in my bathroom didn't work (switch didn't turn it on), but I checked in so late (11 pm) that it wasn't worth bothering the front desk staff to get someone to fix it. My main complaint was the charge I received a few days after check-out. I called the hotel, only to find out it was for parking. This was not explained to me, either upon check-in or check-out. While it could be argued that this information is under "policies," hotels of this quality level (medium) and location (not downtown) do not typically have parking fees, in my experience, so one would not think to even explore that. I believe it is incumbent upon staff to inform guests so there are no surprises. I'd recommend a change there.

The tool was very dirty dust was everywhere plus hair in the bathroom floor their was dried blood on the shower curtain and the apolstry was filthy their stains on the back of the head bored and on the back of the sitting chair the breakfast was good that was the best part about the hotel we told the staff but to no avail I think they need more staff and should have a deep cleaning on all the rooms at least every quarter

The hotel is dated and the room we were in was not clean. The staff was accommodating.
