Quick stay but booked a room with 3 queens. The room was large and comfortable. Staff was nice. Better than other econo lodges we have seen. Would definitely stay again.
-
No wifi in the rooms. I had to go to the outside of the office area to recieve a strong signial.

It’s easy to get to. The whole deposit of what your stay is. When your on vacation seems a little steep. But the rooms were good. And the staff.

The workers were friendly, and the property, located beside the Oconaluftee River, is within walking distance of local shops and restaurants. It is well maintained, but the property is a little older, and the breakfast is limited to grab-and-go items.

First and last Time. Within two hours of arrival we noticed small worms on the floor, coming out of the baseboards and climbing the walls. At least 10. I captured several and proceeded to the office with them in a cup and was hoping we could be relocated to another room. That didn’t happen and the desk receptionist said that is the norm for this time of the year due to being on the creek and mountains behind the structure. After I told her one was crawling on my bed she said she had swept up at least 20 that day in the office. She then said she would be glad to come to our room and sweep them up. I was flabbergasted and left the office so disheartened. I travel for my business December through June and stay four nights a month in three different motels in Helen Georgia on the creek and mountain side for over eight years and have never seen a worm like these in any of the rooms so that being the norm isn’t an excuse. I am very disappointed that the issue wasn’t addressed to my satisfaction.

Nice location N/A

Bananas were good to see offered. Not many choices esp for a non meat or dairy eater. Very small space, a bit of a challenge to navigate with other guests in the room.

the staff that my door did not lock from the inside

Location There were some dead bug debris along the baseboards and edge of the bed. Also a small roach looking bug ran across the bathroom floor. When I tried to catch it with a tissue I saw long black hair on the bathroom floor. Also the towels looked soiled on one of the hand towels. Really needed new towels that are not dingy looking. The sheets on the bed were old and thin from use along with fraying around some of the top. When we arrived to check in the front desk lady was extremely nice. When we arrived later in the evening to obtain our room key the young girl was more interested in babying a kitten she had found so she held the kitten in one arm and attempted to get us with keys with the other. I noticed a card with signatures from a previous guest still sitting on the counter by the card reader. She again was more concerned of caring for the kitten. There was a small animal crate on the check in counter. I have a difficult time with this since this area was the designated area for breakfast.
