SureStay by Best Western Cherokee on the River

The Surestay kept us safe and gave us shelter. They are in process of renovation, and it’s needed. All in all, decent location, staff was nice and attentive. Outside of that room was outdated, furniture was stained, microwave was rough. No iron, which we asked for one, but doesn’t come standard in room. Lots of updating needed, pool wasn’t worth swimming in, and half of the parking lot was covered with building materials which made parking a little tight. If it wasn’t for the staff I’d give it 2 stars but they were great. I would rent this place if I was solo, and didn’t plan to stay there a lot. Maybe adults passing through, but that’s about it.

The Lady at the front desk was nice and friendly. Our room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The only thing we didn't like was the hot water in the shower was not very hot. The hot water heater needs to turned up a few degrees.

On a quick trip anniversary trip hotel in the process of remodel not finished yet . When it gets done will be 5 star. Every thing in working condition desk help really nice and helpful I will go back

Although they are in the middle of renovation, the stay was still peaceful and beautiful view of the river from our balcony. The room was clean and comfortable. Only tiny complaint was the water pressure for the jet tub, took forever to fill up. Everything else was excellent and the staff was very friendly.

They were still renovating while we were there. We were in rooms not jet done. It was still nice and clean. Beds were not hard nor soft but did have a quilt topper. A steeper slope to the river. Over all I was pleased with stay. Oh no elevators so if you have mobility issues stay on lower floors. A few steps up to the dining area

The guest room door was extremely difficult to open and close because it was jammed. The room also had an unpleasant smell. The carpet and bathroom were outdated, and the breakfast was very cheap and disappointing. Overall, we were very dissatisfied with our stay. We definitely would not recommend this place to anyone.

Booked a river view room however we couldn't see the river due to the bushes being over grown. Breakfast was not the greatest. All carbs, cold stuff and the juice machine was broken. No hot food except waffles.

It's good but remodeling going on TV not working as should! Alot of static and screen not clear and advised room attendant and front desk and still was not corrected or looked at! So didn't get to watch TV when wanting to relax by watching TV in the room!!!

This hotel has a management problem. Paint was all over the windows and wall paper falling off the walls. Room was not clean as furniture was dusty. Soap, shampoo and conditioner containers in the shower were all empty. The original assigned non-smoking room smelled like a cigar convention had been held in there the night before. Room was exchanged at front desk. Smoking area was just outside this room and it back-drafted in through the HVAC system. One side was being remodeled. Having been a contractor for 40 years it was clear that the job was sub par on everything accept tile work. Company needs construction Superintendent and hotel management.

Loved the location.. very peaceful. Seen an elk walk by while sitting on balcony. The hot water wasn't great.
