Excellent location. Walk to everything! Beautiful clean comfortable room! ALL staff was helpful and friendly. Shoutout to Cindy (front desk) and Spiro for all of the help and recommendations! We will be back.

Its a good enough place though we had to ask for a kettle as the listed tea and coffee facilities weren't there ... Though are available in lobby. Room was fine though a little tired. Location is great apart from aircon hum even when off and fire service trucks making big noise any time of day and night. Fortunately had those good wax earplugs.

Location great, beds really comfortable. Rooms very clean, swimming pool and fitness room good for hotel My “city view room” was a disappointing view of building opposite! I stayed when hotel was switching over from royal sonesta to hotel 505, I had no knowledge of this prior to arriving, and it wasn’t well explained when we arrived and as a result it caused some confusion, my friend was staying in another room and got her incidentals held in her card twice, no matter it wasn’t taken - to block £700 on someone’s card is excessive!

Loved our stay

No coffee or water replacement

( because of buy out?). Beyond that we were moved to a higher level room on the 15th floor. The room was clean and The bed was so comfortable. The location of the hotal is ideal for all city exploration. The Cons: The TV did not have streaming apps & the relentless street noise was a nuisance( ambulance and loud music was every 30mins to an hour).

That it existed The fact that ownership had changed and they only told us after the allowable cancellation period.

Very good

I loved the view, the proximity to major attractions, and Spiro was amazing. The tv situation in the room was a little lackluster

Great location close to everything. Magnificent Mile, The Chicago Theater, Eatly were all within a block or two. The hotel was very clean and updated. The staff was friendly. Apparently they just changed names and are no longer The Royal Sonesta, but called The 505 Hotel now which wasn't changed in Google maps or Lyft yet so that was a little confusing, but typing in the street address instead of a hotel name helped. Check-in was strange, they didn't seem to have any of my info and I had to show my confirmation and then she still said I needed to pay and I had to show the receipt with my cc number and prepayment proof. That was a weird interaction. She then said the last 4 of a phone number that was 100% not mine and they didn't have my email address so I had to update all of that with them. I don't know why they had the incorrect info completely for my reservation. Overall it was a weird interaction. Other than the TV not connecting sometimes, the rest of my stay was great and I would stay again if even just for the fantastic location.

Very central downtown location. Easy to walk anywhere. Great food all around
-
Needs two staff members for rush hour times.
-
Good location Comfortable bed Really not happy about their check in process. They made all guests wait until 4 sharp to ALL check in at same time. We were all piled in lobby then the line at 4 was ridiculous. There system does not work . Was not happy

The room was right next to the elevator on the 8th floor and didn’t hear any hallway noise. The only issue with our stay was the exterior noise of the fire department vehicles at night and the loud motorcycles with music on them. This noise would be heard at any property in the downtown area. Not sure how much the hotel has invested in sound proofing the rooms. Overall great stay.

I would have liked it if the hotel had had a coffee bar with small breakfast items. I did not want a big breakfast that cost 38 dollars. The free coffee provided near the lobby was undrinkable as was the coffee that I could make in my room. Other than that, I loved my stay in the hotel.
-
Comfortable bed, clean spaces, service, location, price. Very nice rooftop terrace, pool, fitness room. TV centric services: there were two different home pages, one didn't work and the other was fine. My phone blinked that I had a message the whole time and they dismissed the question at the desk I needed change to leave tips and23 and they claimed they had no cash at the desk

Cons: The wifi with Royal Sonesta was subpar. With the switchover to Hotel 505, it wasn't super obvious what the new wifi network was. Growing pains for a new hotel owner. The pillows were.... not great. There's a fire station around the block and man it becomes a constant during the night (not the hotel's fault, but something to be wary of); the great soundproofing from other guests did not apply to the windows and outside.
