Hotel Saint Clair- Magnificent Mile

The location could not be better--close to Michigan Avenue and the Red Line L--and the property is clean, quiet, and safe. The only thing that rankled were the elevators, for which one typically has to wait years for: ended up taking the stairs often, and I was staying on the 9th floor.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. Rooms are small, very basic, clean. We paid almost $400 per night. Our room was not cleaned. We were supposed to request the cleaning - but were not informed about it during check in. There are better hotel choices in this area for this price.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive throughout my visit, and the service was excellent. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing. I truly appreciate the hospitality and attention to detail. Thank you for making my stay such a pleasant experience. I would be happy to stay here again and highly recommend the hotel to others.

Room was fine, but snug. Hallways are ridiculously tight. No breakfast included. Parking is crazy expensive, but trying to drive the city is worse!!

This place really reminded me of a motel room and not a hotel. Room was really small which was OK, but not necessarily for the price. Bathroom door didn't close (latch), shower head only worked on massage pulse mode, toilet tank was cracked, and elevator was really.small. The elevator at times, you would wait for numerous trips.up and down to accommodate the amount of people. Area was really nice though and the Starbucks Roastery was right around the corner. Area was really.noisy with emergency vehicle's sirens blaring all night.

The hotel was great. The location is great for shopping. The only downside is the rooms and elevators are quite small.

Staff was great, and the location was very nice. But the room didn’t have many amenities and the outlets weren’t working well by the bed which made it hard to charge my phone. No mini-fridge and no iron made it less convenient.

My family's stay here was great! The hotel was well maintained and was close and walking distance to everything we planned to do on our trip. On our first morning waking up there, we were awoken my construction happening in the room next door to us, but after speaking to the front desk and their many apologies, they were able to move us to a different room/floor and the rest of our wake-ups were very peaceful. I am thankful for the staff for their help and overall had an amazing time! I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting downtown Chicago and would stay here again on our next trip!
