Hotel Saint Clair- Magnificent Mile

The only thing is the sink is very small! But great location and the staff are so nice. We enjoyed our time there.

I liked that there was a second parking option for only $50/day for no in and out priviledge. I loved the location to the shopping and the river walk. The check in was really convenient and they did allow early check in at no extra fee for me so that was really appreciated.

First thing I do when I come in to a hotel room is check for bed bugs. We went to our first room and I checked well I am not sure what it was completely but there were little black specs on both beds. Multiple. Chicago is on of the top infestations of bed bugs so I went down and asked for a different room. We received one no arguing. The next one was better. Really the hotel looked very crammed and the room was very small we had a room with two king beds the whole room was taken up by the beds. One bed was so noisy any time I moved just a little bit it would squeak and was pretty loud. There is no breakfast in the hotel. The restaraunt in it only served supper. There was like a thing that looked like an old coffee bar or something. But they did not utilize it. The elevator is so small as well. There are more then 10 floors in this hotel and only two small elevators. Really they don't fit more than maybe 5 people who all have to be small. The valets didn't speak too good of English either. They couldn't understand me. The room was pretty clean. There were plug ins that didn't work. The hotel was close to some things like Dunkin, 7elevan, you can walk to shops. I won't stay here again and will tell others not to stay here. So was not a great experience for us.

Very helpful friendly staff, great valet service, clean room, comfortable bed, felt safe and secure, central and walkable to lots of great food and activities. Listed as having coffee and bakery available but this did not prove to be true. Overall good experience.

The property was fine. no breakfast or coffe in lobby . Rooms are small but clean. Had a mini fridge in room which was good. bed was comfy and pillows were plenty,

Nice staff and clean space

Room was clean. Front desk on check in was very nice. Female bartender was rude. Valet was great.

Hotel is small, but very clean, staff is terrific. Room was small for a double but that’s how it rolls in the big city. Valet parking if you’re driving in. And if you’re into the Chicago Cubs, it’s about a 20 minute Uber ride to Wrigley Field. There’s a Dunkin’ a half block away and a 7-Eleven one block away for emergency coffee, breakfast sandwiches and anything else you might need.

There is no breakfast bar. There is not even coffee available other than the in room coffee which is about what you'd expect.

You're paying for location. It's a clean safe place to sleep. Mattress was not great but was minimally acceptable (felt hard/getting old). Lobby always smelled weird of burned food (they cook pizzas in lobby). Good choice on a budget but you're not impressing anyone by recommending it. Staff was polite and helpful with temp storage of luggage after checkout.

The staff was amazing! They were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was great and in a great area, but it is older and the rooms are a little small. I was not claustrophobic or anything like that. We stayed in the king size bed room and it was perfect for 2 people but any more than that would have been tight. Overall, the staff was very friendly, the rooms and lobby were clean, and it was the perfect distance away from everything we wanted to do.

Beyond that, we paid around $400 for a room with absolutely no view. The air conditioner was louder than the fire trucks that drove past every 20 minutes, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The elevators also deserve a special mention—and not in a good way. They feel like they haven't been updated since the building was first constructed (feel free to prove me wrong). There are only two elevators serving 15 floors, with roughly 12 rooms per floor. You do the math. Waiting for an elevator took forever; it was genuinely faster to take the stairs, and I think this may be the first hotel that's ever made me recommend doing that. Oh and the bed was amazing! Overall, the location is excellent, but for the price, the room and facilities simply don't justify the cost.

Felt safe as a solo traveler. Room was clean and the staff were very helpful. The location was also nice too, because of how central it was to attractions and public transportation.
