Love this hotel. Probably best location in downtown Chicago. Very iconic historic hotel.
-
The parking was impossible to find. The room had mold in the bathroom and the carpet was damp.

Conveniently located in Chicago’s Magnificent Mile. No sheltered drop-off for people and luggage. Porterage and car park staff very helpful. Check-in reception staff grumpy and unhelpful. Toilet dirty in our first room. Cleaning staff over worked? Our adjacent second room had a portable refrigerator blocking the passageway between the bathroom and bedroom area that we didn’t request. Maybe the primary mini-refrigerator wasn’t working? Why was it left there? Scant amenities in the bathroom; fake milk powder instead of real cream or milk capsules in the coffee area.

Great location and nice staff.

Amazing location, rooms were clearly dated. Bathroom shower clogged easily if not running shower head.

Great hotel!

It’s really disappointing, to spend a lot of money to be in a room that used paint to cover up mold in the bathroom. What’s even worse is when we checked out, I let the person in the front know and they acted like they didn’t even care

Nice pool and fitness center. The room was basic two double beds but outlets only available between the beds. This does not work well when two people want to charge their phones. Luggage can be checked for the day after checkout at the bell desk, but the process was inefficient and slow. Only 4 elevators for 26 floors. Parking across the street at Nordstrom's (enter on Rush) was convenient, booked through Spothero, and saved $40 over valet parking. All in all, you are paying for the location.

Great swimming pool!

Had to keep switching rooms until we found one where the toilet actually flushed, the air conditioning actually worked, and the carpet wasn’t soaking wet. After three room changes, we opened mini fridge to find someone’s old leftovers.

However, for a hotel charging nearly $500 per night, I expected much better comfort. We stayed in a Junior Suite, and unfortunately the mattresses and especially the pillows were of very poor quality. The beds were quite uncomfortable, which made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. For the price and category of this hotel, upgrading the mattresses and pillows should be a priority. A better sleep experience would make a significant difference and better match the premium rates.

Amazing stay

By far the worse travel experience I’ve had. Not 10 minutes into getting into my room, I get a call from Valet saying someone hit my car and I needed to go to the garage. When I get down there, turns out the valet rear-ended someone in my car and not what they stated. Then the next morning, we get harassed by security and the manager because of noise complaints. We weren’t in our room hardly at all the day before and we had just woken up. The “manager” could not have been more rude. He stated the walls are thin. If my family was being loud, which they weren’t, I fail to see how that is the customer’s problem. That’s the hotel’s problem. We cancelled the rest of our vacation due to this. And now I have to spend time to get my car repaired.

Kind, helpful and attentive staff. Loved it! Close to everything.

Great, big and clean room. Only issue we had was the bathroom sink was leaking all over the floor when we got there but they came up quickly and fixed it. Great location.

The views of the city were incredible from our room! Perfect location, centrally located to all major attractions.
