Loews Chicago Hotel

Room was not properly cleaned. As we opened the door for the first time , some garbage and laundry lint was on the floor. We reported it to the front desk. Shampoo and body wash containers was nearly empty and we had to ask them to bring up more. The cleaning lady would clean the sink every morning, but, wouldn’t give us a fresh soap as she would throw the old one out. So, we kept asking the housekeeping to bring us soap. The main issue however is bed bugs . Pillows smell like mold, bed smelled like mold. We asked for new pillows and sheets , but they all smelled moldy. Specifically the pillows as we had to wrap them in clean bed sheets. We had bedbug bites around our necks back of our head, our legs and shoulders. Loews hotel chain is generally our go to hotel for travel. Chicago Loews sadly failed us

The breakfast options were nice, however lunch was overpriced and offers skimpy sandwiches (falafel and fish tacos were pitiful). The swimming pool was not open. Why are we paying exorbitant facility fees when the best amenity loved by many, is not available. The cost of the rooms are $289 and after fees $400! It's a beautiful hotel with very good customer service, however, there are better lunch options elsewhere. Fees should be reduced when all the amenities are not available.

The hotel location was perfect for us, close to everything. Room was a good size, very comfortable mattress. Staff was friendly and we were able to check in earlier which is rare this days

The staff was amazing, Bright, Arlene, and Roana were amazing. Very professional, polite, and helpful. They made us feel welcome and important. I would absolutely recommend Lowes to family and friends.

It was clean, everything was neatly folded. The bed was very nice and well made, the room smelled nice. I didn't like the fact that I asked for a nice view, it was very important to me. It was my boyfriend's birthday and I was giving him a surprise, so I asked for a high floor and a view, but all we saw from the window was some incomprehensible building and a parking lot. I was very disappointed.
