The Chicago Hotel Collection Ambassador Gold Coast

Our stay was fantastic: breakfast was great, onsite gym was great, enjoyed time at the bar. Our room was very clean and comfortable, had everything we needed.

The gym

No microwave or free breakfast in the morning. No coffee or tea maker in the room. The walls are paper thin, so you can hear kids screaming and toilets flushing. The rooms aren’t properly cleaned, as we found a black spider in the bath towels.

Location is perfect. Very convenient. Room was quiet and very spacious.They only clean the room ones in 3 days.Just for the information. Altogether hotel is great, stuff is helpful

There was hair in the bathtub, on the towels, and on the sheets. There was also no body soap provided in the room. After driving all the way from New York City to Chicago, I was looking forward to finally relaxing and enjoying my stay, but instead I was extremely uncomfortable and disappointed. I reported the issues to Annie, who told me that the manager, Chris, would not be in until 11:00 AM. Unfortunately, I had already checked out because room service knocked on my door at 8:30 AM, which was another frustrating experience. I later called back and asked to speak with Chris, but Annie placed me on a very long hold. After waiting, I eventually hung up and went about my day. For the amount I paid, I expected a clean and properly stocked room and a much better experience. I did not enjoy my one-night stay at all. After traveling from NYC to Chicago, this was certainly not the experience I expected. I am extremely disappointed and believe a full refund is warranted given the condition of the room and the lack of an appropriate resolution while I was there.

Had to leave a day early for a family emergency, and there was absolutely no attempt to refund the amount

Everything was top of the line and beautiful. The rooms would pass a white glove test, the restaurant food and service were top notch, the breakfast made you wish you had more room in your belly. I'm definitely coming back.

In the morning upon check out I found that my car was not taken care still in the same place with emergency signals on. I tried to speak with receptionist and valet parking people why they charged me 79 usd for valet parking that Noone taken care of my car and even did not called me to switch off the emergency lights. But they told that car was been taken care of people. How it was taken care as it was even not in the list of parking valleys and they had no idea about my car! I'm very unhappy being scamed by personal of vallet and staff of the hotel.

When I arrived, the staff was unfriendly when I went upstairs to my room the elevator and the carpets in the hallway were pretty dirty. My room was a mess had to ask for clean sheets because mine had sweat marks on them there was leftover orange juice in the room the bathroom also was a mass had towel towels still on the floor from the previous guest

Staff in the reception seemed a little arrogant.

This is one of my favorite hotels, period. The location in Chicago's Gold Coast is fantastic - especially in warmer weather. There are flowers everywhere and magnificent 19th century architecture bumping up against modern condo high rises. Walkable to the subway, and a short walk to shopping and tourist destinations on Michigan Avenue.

When staying at this hotel they did offer one dinner and 2 breakfast vouchers but I think it should be switched around due to the price , I didn't know that the dinner would be so expensive compared to what we were paying for the rooms which was a very good price , overall I 10/10 recommend staying here just had a couple issues but they were very nice and amazing service may I add !

I did not utilize parking, bar service or any other amenity due to a one night stay.

The room was gorgeous just no tea and coffee making facilities?! Never known anything like it

There was mold on the curtains.

Lobby staff was helpful. Room was not worth the cost - all white furniture with stains on the couch and big moisture stains on the chair in the bedroom. 2 tiny glass cups, crack in bathroom sink, doors hard to latch and got stuck in the frame. Curtains had stains and were pulled off the rod so they didnt close well. The walls were very thin. Pros: ac in bedroom and sitting area, fridge in room.

Lobby is nice, and the restaurant was never open the weekdays of our stay. I really wanted to love this hotel as it has a lot of history for me, but it came up a bit short.

I would absolutely stay at the hotel again!!
