Old school Chicago charm. Great for families with young adults

The hotel definitely needs to catch up with updating itself. Other hotels like the Palmer house which are also old and dear to Chicago and we did stay out as well were much better present presented.

The best lake view and road 41. Just amazing!

Beautiful elegant hotel of a past era.

The Drake Hotel is a wonderful Chicago landmark with timeless elegance, beautiful architecture, and exceptional service. Its location on Michigan Avenue is outstanding, placing guests close to the lakefront, shopping, restaurants, and many of the city’s best attractions. The rooms are comfortable and full of historic charm, and the hotel’s public spaces feel grand and inviting. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend The Drake to anyone visiting downtown Chicago.

Great stay in an excellent location!

Old and tired. Not well maintained. Bathroom tiny. Fixtures ancient. Just a bad experience. Not worth is &1600 can for 2 night lbs

Otherwise, this day was lovely

For a hotel of The Drake’s caliber, the breakfast experience could be improved. The coffee was served in a paper cup, the bagel was hard, and the entire meal was presented in a box rather than on proper tableware.

The Drake is a convenient classic.

We had a wonderful stay at The Drake Hotel. The location is absolutely perfect—convenient to everything while still feeling elegant and special. The staff could not have been more welcoming, friendly, and helpful, always going out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The hotel has a wonderful sense of history and charm, and the service made the experience even better. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return. Highly recommended!

As an aside booked two room other one for my daughter and family. Rooms were small and much less than special. as my kids say “OVERRATED “

Loved the bar downstairs

The Drake is a wonderful hotel. Staff were nice. The tub in the room next to us overflowed and flooded into our room. The smell of old cigarettes as very strong. And having to listen to fans was annoying. We were told we’d get a partial refund that they did put on our credit card but was then taken back by the hotel. ???

Old school charm and the staff was the same. Very classy joint.

The hotel was wonderful and centrally located making getting around the city easy.

I have long loved this place. Sadly, they are hurting. Towels were so thin! Bathroom not fully cleaned.
