The Westin Michigan Avenue Chicago

Room was clean! The only compliant is that the bathroom door creaked very loud so it woke everyone at night when someone needed to use the bathroom. Staff was excellent I would recommend the Westin ❤️

The staff at the check in desk is some of the rudest and most condescending i have dealt with. (Specially a guy named Brandon. Dont know what he was doing there. No people skills whatsoever) Took 5 hours for a room to be ready. Did arrive earlier but still took over an hour after the set check in time, which basically killed my afternoon. Beds are extremely old, with sink holes in the middle, A/C badly positioned, hits your face on one of the beds directly everytime it turns on. Shower had leaks so pressure didnt work well. Toilet old and stained. In general ver bad experience, for the price better stay at another hotel in same area

The room was dated and there was a little mold on the ceiling corner near the AC enclosure.

Clean room, welcoming staff. Some issues with the elevators but other than that - perfect!

The staff was absolutely horrible. They were rude, unhelpful, and passive aggressive. If you are looking for a place to stay with a friendly environment, do not book this hotel. They were so incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional. Even if a simple question was asked, they would give us a dirty look and a bratty response. 0/10 staff. Horrible customer service.

It’s not right to tell your guest at 3pm in the afternoon that your Room is not ready yet ???? We had driven 8 hours that day and were very tired Just not Right

This hotel was okay - nothing fancy but okay. The safe in our room did not work because they were updating all of the safes and did not tell us that when we checked in so each day we had to check our valuables in at the bell desk. There was never anyone at the bell desk so we waited each day for someone to arrive to take our things. It was inconvenient. Cleanliness was okay but nothing special. Bed linens are worn. The silly thing was they had plastic water bottles with flowers in them on the bell desk. Why even put them out at all - it looked cheap.

Cons-The bed was incredibly uncomfortable, the pillows were terrible to the point that if I had to stay another night I would have had to purchase one. Rooms do not have coffee makers, which was a disappointment. I attempted to order room service one evening only to find the few things listed were not available

Great location, staff were nice BUT the hotel is old and not well taken care of. The shower head did not work properly. There is a $30 a day fee that was unexpected. Overall it was just ok. This hotel needs to be updated.

I had heard a lot about their beds being most comfortable, but it was sagging in my room. The staff was very nice and responsive to every request. please check room 826 beds.

Woah. Unannounced 30 dollar "destination fee"? Room service delivered in paper bags and cardboard containers? This isn't the Westin brand I know. Be aware, there's a lot of up charging going on here.

Great location! Very helpful staff. The property was a bit aged and felt like a typical Marriott vs. their higher end hotel. There was also a daily $30 destination fee which largely negated the value from Expedia.

Very easy check in/check out procedure. The key cards were a little problematic at times and missed our floor bc elevator would not recognize the key card in time. The app did not work to open our room door but since we had our key cards it wasn’t a problem. There does need to be updating to available outlets to charge electronic devices as there are only outlets on one side of the bed and at the desk. The water pressure was great and all toiletries were filled.
