The staff was professional and responsive; our room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. A few considerations: 1. South-facing rooms look directly into the side of the John Hancock Building and can pick up Michigan Avenue street noise. I have not been assigned a north facing room, so I can't comment on whether it is better. 2. The walls are somewhat thin. I use white noise, which made this manageable, but loud neighboring conversations can be audible. 3. The “resort” fee is irritating—though, with a relatively low room rate, it is clearly part of the hotel’s revenue model and an incentive to use the restaurant or bar. We had a pleasant stay, and this was the second time I have chosen the hotel.

Loved the location. Staff was great. Housekeeping came by every day and replenished towels, coffee, …. The fitness room needs refreshing; more weights, ex 5, 8 pounds would be great

The hotel is tired. I’ve stayed there over the years for the location. It hasn’t been refreshed in a very long time. The climate control in the room didn’t work and the rooms are noisy.

They do not have "heavenly beds". I stay at Westin for those beds over 100 nights a year. I had two rooms over my stay and both beds were insufferable.
