Rooms are decent size for four people close enough to everything where you can walk or take public transportation.

The rooms are dated and not modern.

The location was very convenient for public transportation, one small block from the Harrison Red Line (stairs only, unless we totally missed the escalator or elevator) It's an older building. Our room looked very small when we first enter via the doorway because of an extremely narrow hallway that had the closet door (very tiny) as well as the bathroom. Our bathroom would give them 1 star. The tub inner lining was buckling and bubbling from some kind of damage before we arrived and it would dangerously pop up and down under our feet as we showered. We made due, but it didn't help. We were also lucky we brought our own power strip and extension cord because we could only find one outlet. Our room was eye-level to the Loop, but luckily we just imagined it was the roar of waves at a beach. It was just loud enough to be noticeable, but not too loud that it woke us up non-stop. The loop (I believe) runs 24/7, and irregular intervals. Just like waves on the beach. For the price we paid, I really was hoping for more, but I guess prices are up everywhere. Travel tip: even with just 5 days, getting the 7-day $20 unlimited pass on the L was a huge bargain. We did most of our activities with only a 1mile (20 minute) hike at any point.

Our last night there the fire alarm went off at 3:30 am. We ,two old ladies, and the couple with a kid went down 12 flights of stairs. The front desk clerk at that time didn’t seem concerned. After us sitting down stairs for at least 20 minutes he asked what we all were sitting there waiting for. We said the fire alarm, he left for about five minutes and said there was no fire alarm. Very disappointing in the no concern.

My room did not have any cold water in the bathroom sink.

The location.
-
clean room and helpful staff. would have loved if they had a water fountain or some more amenities. it is an old hotel
-
Check-in was smooth, staff was helpful, well maintained property. Daily house keeping, well cleaned rooms. Very close to CTA Metro. I and my family enjoyed our stay.
-
Nothing worked. It was hot as all heck out and the AC was broken. Maintenance came to clean it while I was there and all this black stuff came out of the filter. The outlets were broken. The ice machine on my floor was out of order. The room smelled and the hallways were dingy and poorly lit. I did not end up staying the night.

Very helpful staff.

Rooms are small and dismal; carpets are well worn. Hotel offers no food or coffee or water. Location is good, but that’s the only real positive to this hotel; it’s not a nice place to stay nor a good value.

Old hotel, not very clean.

We were centrally located for our short getaway vacation!

The location was perfect for walking around the city. There is no hotel parking available ( contrary to the website) but parking lots are available around the hotel. The rooms were decent and cleaning staff did an ok job overall( did not move shoes / stuff to vacuum , did not clean corners)

I did not expect the regular, loud train going outside the window. That was very difficult to deal with but thankfully I had earplugs. The room itself had a useful kitchenette but the decor and structure felt very dated and worn. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the lobby is nice. The hotel is perfectly placed near both high end and fast food places. I stayed for four nights by myself and would definitely stay there again with my family or friends for a great trip to Chicago. Fun and exciting city!
