We actually ended up checking out early and booking another hotel because the service and cleanliness were so disappointing. One of the biggest issues was room service. I placed an order totaling around $150 and waited three hours before finally calling to ask what was going on. Only then was I told that because of Lollapalooza, they were no longer taking room service orders—even though my order had already been accepted and paid for. No one ever contacted us to let us know there was an issue. Housekeeping was even worse. By day four, our room had still not been cleaned or serviced once. We requested fresh towels that evening, and after waiting an hour with no response, I had to call again. They finally brought towels around 1:00 a.m. Earlier that same day, I actually had to walk across the hall to the housekeeping room and ask for clean sheets myself because no one had serviced our room. The housekeeper seemed visibly irritated that I even asked while she was sitting on her phone scrolling. She simply handed me the sheets, and my friend and I had to strip and make our own beds. Since our room was directly across from the housekeeping room, I saw staff sitting in there on their phones throughout our stay while guest rooms went untouched. Ironically, it wasn’t until I texted the front desk to complain that someone finally came to clean our

We have stayed here before and enjoy the property. It is old but well maintained and that is part of the charm. It is expensive but the location makes it somewhere worth it. Some of the staff is amazing and others not so much. Still, we would stay again.

Kept it very clean and organized with all the people that were staying there for Lolla.

Property was lovely. It was clean. Air conditioned. Proximity to food is great. My only complaint is the charge for parking. They know you’re not gonna want to park blocks away & carry your bags to your room. $72 a night is robbery. They don’t even charge that much in Vegas. Guests staying multiple nights should get some kind of discount. Found the regular parking garage to be blocked several times, while running late for things & had to park valet because no one was telling the people in the cars blocking to move.

The staff was very friendly, constantly saying hi, complimenting our outfits, and telling us to have a good day. The cafe is very fresh and the pizza was really good. Some of the hotel rooms have two bathrooms which was a game changer! Every hotel must have two bathrooms.

This was a great place to stay. Walking distance to the Art Institute, Soldier Field, Millennium Park, the Riverwalk, the Museum Campus, and a quick L ride to se the Cubs or White Sox (or Bull or Blackhawks). It’s perfect.

Then at 8:30 am had staff knocking on our door asking us when we were leaving. Most likely not a common occurrence, but our experience left a bad taste and we will not be using Hiton Hotels again.

    Amazing

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

Our stay was great. Helpful staff. Beds were very comfortable and room was quiet. The lobby games were a nice diversion for the kids before or at the end of a day of sight seeing. Location is great for walking to most sights.

Had king lake view and room was dirty and extremely outdated. Called about concerns and was told it would be handled. Maid came in while i was gone and did NOTHING. They don't even vacuum near elevators. The worst part is the 1st floor is beautiful. They are surviving off location and I will not be staying here ever again.
