Homewood Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown South Loop

Location is good, you can even walk to see some places. Well, the parking lot is a little bit expensive, and breakfast is not that great, and the elevator feels like it was going to break and I understand that the valet parking is only one person but they take long to notice you.

... Kept trying to get in contact with manager. Was told manager will be in next day for 3 days straight. Eventually had to wait over weekend then was told will be sent a email in 10 days for a refund. I was never sent a email or contacted. The management is a joke. If they didnt agree with my reasons for refund grow a pair and send a email or text or something. Also bonus. Every time i wanted to contact them we were put on hold for hours at a time then when the phone picked up someone would go "manager left" and then hung up. I was never disrespectful or rude in anyway i just wanted to discuss things with a manager or higher up and i never got that.

The rooms were mediocre, we expected nicer for Hilton. The cable must’ve been streamed, it was hard to watch TV, kept going in and out, making an excruciating noise.

I would recommend to stay here. Great location, especially for Chicago Bears games. Good breakfast, that’s included with your stay. Room was updated and clean. Only negative was the television was in and out of service.

The staff was fantastic, allowing us to leave our luggage before our room was ready and after checkout. The valet staff was extremely accommodating and helpful. We had a beautiful view from our room with a whole wall of windows. Breakfast was standard American hotel fare.

Terrible front desk. I picked up a dollar bill someone dropped and the front desk was so happy and just put in his own pocket. Charged me 50 for just 10min late check out. Charges 25 for check in before 4pm. Absolute scam.

Good room with a beautiful view. Front desk was super friendly and helped us out as we flew in early before check in time. Room was clean.

Staff unable to help and not enough knowledge to even communicate with customers in issues arising?!

Minor complaints are the L train is close so can be a bit to get used to at night, but not overly loud to ruin sleep. Also a little bummed out that Netflix wasn't available on the hotel TVs, but we also didn't ask staff if there was any way to make such happen. I definitely will aim to stay at this location again on any future visits to Chicago.

Breakfast was great and plenty of it. Rooms were spacious and with the kitchen there it made leftovers easy to reheat. Overall a good property if you have a family or larger group. Location is great and close to Lou Malnatis pizza! Devil dogs is also close and really good too. I’d stay again. The location is great and really in the middle. The low part of the stay was the L train is neat and quite loud but you get tone deaf. I slept great so not really that bad!
