Well, I had a blast and the hotel accommodations just made everything seamless.
-
The location was perfect for all the activities we planned. Everything was either walking distance or a very short drive to our destination.
-
Property was accessible

Loved the bag hold on my checkout for the last day!

I stayed in a corner room where the view was unmatched. The view alone makes it worth it if you can deal with the rest. For the bad: The carpet was weirdly sticky, the shower had black stuff in it (mold?), the bed was harder than a rock, the staff was some of the most unfriendly people I dealt with while I was there, the fridge was set to Antarctica temperatures and froze everything we put in it, and the iron didnt work. At least it was pretty and air conditioned I guess.

My three kids and me enjoyed staying at Hilton Garden Inn for the Holiday weekend.
-
Definitely recommend upgrading to the corner room — the view over the park and the lake was amazing!
-
The staff was super rude, never will stay here again. Hung up the phone on me and would give me attitude when I would ask for more towels.

Staff was very unhelpful. I attempted to call the property 5 separate occasion prior to arriving with no answer. I had to call Hilton corporate to assist me. Valet staff refused to take my truck for valet service since its size was “way too much work.” They said they physically had room but I would be too much work for them as they would have to move another vehicle. That’s an exact quote “way too much work for us.” The room itself was very nice and clean, well maintained, and great views. Couldn’t find the complimentary breakfast area so we just purchased breakfast in the bar area downstairs. AC was acting a bit funky. Worked well but was VERY loud. Window opened but is misaligned causing the window to be very difficult to shut, had to stack my hand out the window and bend then metal as I was pulling it shut to get it closed.

The location was perfect to walk to a concert at Soldier Field. A lot to do in the area. Clean, well-maintained property. Would stay again.

Nice stay

Mold in shower and bathroom floor

The room was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful in finding parking. Someone had gotten sick in the pool, so it was closed for cleaning, which was disappointing. Overall a good stay. Would stay there again.

Lovely hotel.

Check in was a little confusing, as it is 2 separate properties. I was not happy that I had to use valet for parking, at an up charge. That information was not on the website. And with parking already outrageously expensive for people who are paying guests, adding another $5-$10, plus tip is ridiculous!

The staff were not helpful at all. The night lady was asleep when we got back from a concert and we had to bang on the windows to get her to let us in the hotel. And then we asked for a late checkout and they told us no. They didn’t even look to see if the room was booked. Just no.
-
No big frills, but a solid place to stay when coming to explore the city. Good location for access to the museums with good proximity to Soldier Field. Also nice to be able to walk down the street to hit up a grocery store or convenience store. Overall a good place to chill in between city adventures.
-
It was an ok stay. Room was clean and the hotel was close to the sites/museums we wanted to see.
-
Overall a great hotel to stay at. Great views and clean rooms. Easy access to the museums and public transportation. Only issues was the room had no trash bags and the sink was slow to drain. Otherwise A+.

The barn door on the bathroom in our room was an issue as soon as we checked in. I tested the door and it was off balance and not sliding open easily for me, let alone my kids. I called down to the front desk and they said they would let maintenance know. We left to go to dinner and when we came back, nothing had been fixed. The next morning the door was still an issue since it hadn't been fixed so I called down the front desk again and they said they would get maintenance. We then headed out for our day. When we came back to the room in the afternoon, the door still wasn't fixed. I called to the front desk for the third time and they said maintenance had looked at the door and it was 'usable.' It was half off the top hinges at this point and couldn't be shut by anyone in the family. They finally sent someone from maintenance and he couldn't fix it and so we had to change rooms. Issues happen but it's all in how it's handled. If someone had come on night 1 to fix it, I wouldn't even be sharing. When you have to call three times, that's unacceptable and poor service.
