Great stay

Staff was excellent -- very helpful. The cafe was darling and not too expensive. The lobby was too small. The pool was also a little small. But everything else was wonderful.

Bathroom could be cleaner room had gnats

Parking was full during my entire stay. Had to park at a different lot. WIFI cost extra. Front desk staff was not very friendly when checking in. The pool was small and stayed crowded, since it is shared with another hotel. The bed was comfy and the view was nice. It was a short walk to the museums, which was my main reason for choosing this hotel. Paris Baguette was bomb for breakfast every morning, plus you get 10% off with the room key.

Clean average hotel that is priced right. Excellent location for seeing the sights via train. Great location especially for the Obama Presidential Library via bus.

When we returned after 4 PM to check in, the employee helping us became distracted by another person who approached him. We weren't given much information about the hotel, and because the hotel has two sides, I had to ask where to find the elevator to our room. Unfortunately, there was a piece of what appeared to be a dirty wrapper in our bed sheets. I didn't report it, but it was disappointing to find. The elevator was also very loud whenever it was running, and we could hear it frequently throughout the night. We also weren't aware that breakfast was available. We saw what appeared to be a breakfast area on the 8th floor when we happened to walk through the courtyard, but we didn't know what it was or that breakfast was offered. We didn't know about the courtyard either. There was also information about two free bottles of water per day, but we didn't notice this until our last day. Overall, the location was great and we appreciated the easy bag storage, but better communication about the hotel's amenities, improved cleanliness, and quieter elevators would have made our stay much better.

Clean room, nice staff

The hotel was at a very convenient location for the Fields Museum, and also the Art Institute of Chicago (which has an amazing museum). There were many restaurants within walking distance. For our grandchild, the water in the swimming pool was a comfortable temperature, and the hot tub also worked.

The pool and hot tub were awesome, the shared patio was awesome, the corner room was beautiful and nice. Not a lot of space but they do a good job making the most of the space. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Valet was awesome - it's nice that it's in a covered garage but it's not cheap! Overall a wonderful stay.

At 3:50 PM, after waiting for an hour to check in, the desk clerk said my room wasn't ready yet. What? He asked me if I had this particular room "on hold". I don't even know what that means. I just wanted a room comparable to the room I reserved. Really, really strange interactions with the desk service. Got a room after some kind of gyrations. I have been here three or four times in last several years. Something has gone wrong at this property. Not returning.

Overall I would return

Great location. Friendly staff and nice accommodations
-
Shower head leaked throughout the stay. Loud screeching noise coming from elevator at all hours.
-
Great location in the south loop within a 14 min walking distance to the Field Museum, Planetarium, and Soldier field. Rooms are well kept. Only complaints are that rooms are a bit loud from opening and closing adjacent doors, and hallways were a bit hot due to AC not being cool enough. Staff was great and it was convenient having access to a fridge, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker. You also have access to snacks, coffee, and free spot to fill your water bottles.

It was great, great services
-
Two things to keep in mind: 1) No overhead lighting in rooms, so it can be hard to read/write/work 2) the bathroom was on a roller and not a door to lock. It wasn’t a hassle but took some getting used to.
-
The king corner suite that I booked was probably the most beautiful view I’ve had in a long time. The room was large and clean. Staff were all very nice as well!!

It was great
