Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza

Checked out minutes after I checked in. Mold and disgusting room conditions. But wait, there is more !!!! NO air conditioning in room and no notice about this despite being an ongoing issue at the hotel for several weeks.

The problem was that the air-conditioning was not working in any of the rooms and we expected that they would offer us a discount on the room or free meals or something and and they did not.

This hotel was likely once very nice and upscale, but not anymore. The hotel overall is not well-maintained or updated. The paint, carpet, amenities are all dated. The air conditioning did not work in our room, and neither did the phone to call the front desk. After going down to the front desk to inquire - none of the rooms had functional A/C. It was 90 degrees out the day we stayed. We won't be back unless the hotel undergoes renovation and maintenance.

No Air Conditioning, I called three days before we arrived to add Names to each room and no one told me that there was a problem with the AIR.

Great location and fantastic breakfast. Very good value. Only issue was the lack of air conditioning. There was a fire the previous week which caused this outage. Upon check in, we were notified of this problem, and were given the option to cancel with full refund. Actually, the hotel should have notified us ahead of tiem, so we could have a chance to change plans, if we would decide so. Difficult to change plans upon check in.

Room walls and ceilings were falling apart. Hotel smelled like stale cigarettes

The location is perfect for walking to a Reds game and the rooms are a very nice size. We needed some sheets and blankets and the staff brought them before we even got back upstairs. We have gone every year and our rooms are never ready on time for a 4:00 check in. They also do not put our rooms close together as requested (even the same floor would be fine.) The bathrooms could use an update.

The AC was out in the rooms. The staff offered free breakfast. However, no discounts were offered to alleviate the uncomfortable room temperature.

The pictures lead you to believe it’s classic older hotel. In fact it’s old and tired. Lots of potential but I wouldn’t recommend it.

Conveniently located Needs some updating. I’ve stayed in Holiday Inns that were nicer

I have been staying at this property for nearly 20 years. It is not being maintained and the standards of cleanliness, food/dining, and deferred maintenance continue to fall. No working AC in the entire building, and no mention during booking.

It was cool that it was old and historic but it needs a big facelift.

Wait in line to check in, get to the desk and told that theres no Air Conditioning in the entire hotel and they dont know when it'll be fixed. I was told the hotel next door has AC and since I booked through a third party that I could request a refund, so I finished the check in process, go to the room to find another hotel, reserve a room at another hotel, go back to the front desk and checkout. I contact the third party, Expedia, to request a refund, they contact the hotel who then DENY my refund request. I later find out that the AC had went out the day before, which is the day I could have canceled my reservation with the hotel and received a full refund without any issue, but was never notified by the hotel OR Expedia about the issue. So in my opinion, neither company cares about the customer, customer service, or doing things right by the customer who has no control over their issues or problems.

Smelled horrible like cigarettes room was yuck everything is very close though parking is crap!

The room did not have air conditioning, they had to bring up a fan, we were on the 25th floor. There was too much spent on this room for us to have to use a fan, and for the HILTON, this room was very basic, look like a Motel 6 room.

The bar was great. Staff was great. Room was not clean (a dirty sock was left on a chair). Property a little out dated. But great location.
