We love this old hotel. It’s ashame Hilton doesn’t invest in it more

Nice room, hotel was beautiful and staff was great. Only 2 elevators were working during our stay, so that made for some long waits to get to our room. But that is really the only complaint of your stay.

Bar close to early especially on home baseball games

The building was extremely humid, even though it was late at night. Another guest who checked in when I did remarked on how bad it was. It actually felt cooler outside. The room had several burnt out bulbs in the light fixtures, so none of the reading lights could be used. The air conditioner was extremely loud, and ran all night. Despite being set to 68°F, it could not get the room below 74°F. The shower stall was very dangerous, and my son slipped and fell while showering. I nearly did as well due to the tub floor being puffed up and full of water. It felt like standing on a water bed. The water remained trapped between the paint and the original metal of the tub, even after the water was drained out. When the water was running, it was murky, presumably from rust within the tub. The water only had one temperature, scalding hot. The complementary shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were nice. The furnishings were in decent enough shape, but the mattresses were not very comfortable. I didn't hear anything from the hallway or other rooms during my stay, making it feel private. I did not take advantage of room service or chose to dine at the restaurant. My husband did go downstairs to purchase a snack and noticed men leaving the bar, so it appeared to be open very late. The lobby and dining area are very lovely. It's an interesting, historical building.

This is an older hotel with a lot of history beauty. Yes, paint might be peeling in some spots on the ceiling but to me, it added to the nostalgia. We sadly went to visit the Cincinatian lobby , once a five star hotel featured in a magazine, it was sad how it had changed by taking away all the beautiful features. The Cricket Lounge was no more. I hope “upgrades” are not done to this beauty. Embrace the deco! We were surprised that our King Suite had 2 full bathrooms!

I was not happy to start my stay that their valet was full and I had to park all the way in sky at a self parking garage. The front desk attendant didn’t seem to care one lick when I explained the situation. The room itself was dusty everywhere, like layers upon layers of dust and grime in baseboards, corners, etc (not on surfaces like desk or side tables) and lots of little dead bugs in the corners. The hotel itself is old and very outdated. Not as in classic luxury, as in time stayed still in 1972.

Stayed here a bunch of times so will give them a pass. TV didn't work, they offered to switch me but too much a pain in the butt. The AC was struggling to keep up and it was a little warm. Otherwise, it is a great location. I will stay again but one more stay like this one and I wont be back.

This was a beautiful hotel within walking distance to the ballpark and Heritage center. The room was spacious. Although the hotel is old, everything was very clean and well maintained. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel and had a wonderful experience. The only issue we ran into was the wait for the elevator. They have 6 of them, but I don’t think many were working.

A hotel with tons of character! Very close to just about everything you would want to do downtown - especially Reds and Bengals. Also a fun neighborhood. Downsides were the cost of the breakfast was insane. Also, the elevator wait was very long every time we came back. That being said - would definitely stay there again.

Great location and property.

I stayed here because the conference I was attending was in the hotel, so I took advantage of the discount and convenience. I wish I hadn’t, because it absolutely was not worth it. The ceiling and walls are quite literally falling apart. I almost got trapped in one of the rickety elevators, which I had no choice not to take because my room was on the 28th floor. There was a roach in my bathroom and the room smelled just like you’d imagine the 1930s would smell. To add insult to injury, there are zero amenities. No continental breakfast, and a dingy, disgusting, public gym with no AC. The staff was great. But that’s about it. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.

The ONLY thing going for this hotel is the history. Since Hilton now owns the property, they need to pump $$$$ into it and renovate. We were on 20th floor and had to call maintenance because of no hot water. He said we need to let it run for about 20 minutes while continually flushing the toilet because the water has to travel all the way to the 31st floor and then down again. We set our room thermostat on 67 and the room never got below 76. Once you get out of the lobby area, the whole hotel smells like your grandma‘s basement- damp and moldy. Carpets are old and stained. Mattresses and pillows , worn and lumpy. Basically every area is in need of repair and update. Great staff but the hotel has declined dramatically.

Very old hotel.

Unfortunately, the true quality of this hotel and location are poorly displayed. The shopping center in the basement is vacant and boarded up. The parking garage is more expensive than listed and is seperatly operated so you cannot sort out the increase or problems easily. For traveling solo females the parking garage, vacant shopping center and stairwells are a bit unnerving. The elevator to the hotel and parking garage are slower than slow. The hotel and it's historic features are cool but this is by no means a luxury hotel experience. There are plaster and water issues, stains, dirty carpets, bad smells, slow plumbing and turn on the hot water 30 minutes before you intend to shower. The staff was pleasant and as helpful as they could be given the circumstances, I'm sure they recieve alot of complaints, issues and disappointment.

All good but hotel internal rooms update needed.

The staff at the hotel are great. However, my room was terrible. There was peeling paint everywhere, and after my first night, I walked into the room to find drywall and dust that had fallen from the window casing on the floor. I alerted the staff, and they quickly gave me another room. The public spaces in this hotel are fantastic, but the rooms are in desperate need of an update.

Not even close to being restored as advertised, very unhappy with exorbitant cost!!!!!

Second stay at this property and second time I was unable to get a room that was booked months ago until well after 5PM. The room was very outdated, one of the queen beds was located inches from the side of the bed. There was shower gel and hair conditioner but no hair shampoo

Staff was very nice
