DoubleTree by Hilton Collinsville - St. Louis

-Lobby area seemed nice and appeared clean. However, hallways, elevator, and room were a different story. Carpets were older, stained, and had a slight odor. Room needed some updating as well. Bedding was clean.

The room I booked was listed as a double room with a queen bed and a sofa bed, since my reservation was for three people; however, upon arrival, I was informed that this was a mistake and the property doesn't actually have that type of room. The staff provided excellent service. The room itself was fine—though it only had two beds—but the bathroom wasn't very clean; the sink didn't drain properly and had a leak. The towels were quite worn and yellowed; they really ought to be replaced. Although I had booked an option that included breakfast, I ended up having to pay for it separately. While it was worth the cost because the food was excellent, this should be clearly noted in the reservation so guests are aware.

This place needs to be closed down immediately. So many things were wrong. Dirty mattress. Tv didn’t work. Leaking ceiling to where they had a bucket in the middle of the hallway. Torn bed frame. Dirty chair cushion. Just absolutely nasty. The only reason the staff was rated okay because when I asked for my money back they didn’t give me any issues. This stay was so disappointing. The worst hotel stay ever.

The hotel was not as expected to said the least

The Staff was VERY VERY NICE!! The inside was Beautiful!! This was My Husband && My first time staying here!! Not to mention they had some kind of car show we got to see all the old school cars!

The bathrooms were not working. Shower fixtures are loose and sometimes not working.

The a/c in the room was weird- it was freezing when it turned on, but the room immediately got warm in between. Also, my bath tub handle snapped off when I went to turn the water on.

It was close to our venue The whole hotel was hot. They couldn’t fix my air (it stayed 74 degrees the entire stay!) and decided to bring me a box fan instead which only dropped it to 72 degrees! It was a nightmare for us menopausal women!

Porters restaurant was outstanding. Great stay- Clean hotel, even with the broken air unit in our room. Comfortable beds, staff were nice. Outdoor sitting area with the fire pit was a favorite.

It was your standard continental breakfast.

Very conveniently located property with nice amenities, especially Porters Restaurant. Pool is very clean and not too cold. Nice workout room. Welcoming lobby. Many restaurant options nearby. Plus, the fabulous Doubletree cookies!

Very clean rooms. Quiet. Easy access to shopping and eating.

Room was dusty and used washcloths were left hanging on the shower curtain rod.

The sleeper couch in room 250 is falling apart. There is no way that anyone can sleep on that as the support for the mattress is non-existent. The AC unit has to be repaired! I didn't get any sleep the night I spent there due to the obnoxiously loud rattling noise it makes when it kicks on. Management should spend the night in that room to see for themself.

It is conveniently located within walking distance to the convention center, lots of food options in the area. Check in and out was very easy. Front desk staff were very nice, as well as helpful when we encountered an issue with our room. I want to thank them for finding a solution for us when we could not put our kids on the sleeper couch.
