Quality Inn & Suites Ft. Jackson Maingate

We spilled water on the floor and wiped it up with a white rag and the rag turned dark brown, this was 10 min of getting into our room. The room does not have very much light. The outlet by the table hanging out of the wall, I didn't dare plug anything in. There was a light under the mirror in the bathroom and that was it, the bathtub was so dark. The pool was only open 11am to 9pm and always had a pool closed sign on it. The breakfast was terrible. The beds were wore out. The last night there someone was smoking weed and other stuff that filled our room even with our door shut, this went on all night. It finally let up in our room but it was coming in through the bathroom vent. We did not tell the front desk because they never seemed to care about anything. We stayed at a different hotel/city the next night and my husband got his CPAP mask out to use and the rubber part that goes on his face absorbed all that smell from the smoking so now we get to replace that early because of this place. Do not stay here! There are other places just as close as this.

Older property, showing its age. Said it had a fitness room, but we never saw it. Didn’t bother to ask. Breakfast was good. The pool looked clean and nice, but when we got in the water we stirred up the debris on the bottom, which wasn’t very nice. Room was pretty clean and the bed was nice, but the floor was dirty. Made me want to keep my shoes on. Mediocre pillows.

The rooms, they had mold and ac units leaked. One of the staff at the desk made you feel like you were bothering her, when we were simply having issues with the rooms. We had to move once with her and two with the second shift staff due to mold and smell.

The staff was a little rude to my wife and asked for all kinds of things when we extended our stay that we did not have to provide when checking in. They were not sympathetic to the fact I was confidened to a wheelchair and wanted me to come inside.

Never get a room in front of the building, you hear everything passing by.

The outlet/plug for the hairdryer etc by the bathroom did not work. No conditioner in the shower. . Beds were nice very comfortable and the room was pretty clean. Breakfast was minimal. If you want cheap you’ve got it. You could see dirt in all the corners especially by the elevator. We had booked a King bed a month before and when we got there they said that they were all gone.
