SOVA Micro-Room & Social Hotel

Nothing. I did not stay here and was not refunded. I expressed my concerns about safety and was told that I would not get a refund because it was a same day reservation, despite my security concerns. I was extremely disappointed with my experience at SOVA Hotel. Upon arrival, we immediately felt uncomfortable with the surrounding area. The hotel was difficult to find because there was no exterior signage, and I saw no obvious security measures or staff monitoring the entrance. The inside was equally disappointing. The lobby was tiny and poorly maintained, with cheap-looking décor and makeshift window coverings. When the front desk employee finally arrived, I explained that I was traveling alone that evening and did not feel comfortable with the property's security. She offered to show me the room, which was on the first floor directly next to the lobby. The room was essentially one small open space combining the bedroom, living area, and bathroom, and the overall condition did not make me feel any more comfortable. I ultimately decided not to stay and immediately contacted the manager to request a cancellation. I was told that because it was a same-day cancellation, there would be no refund—even though I had not checked in or stayed in the room. The manager's response essentially came down to the fact that no security incident had occurred, so my concerns did not warrant an exception. I ended up booking the Fairmont for only about $50 more. The difference was extraordinary: a beautiful property in a much better location with a rooftop pool, restaurant, coffee shop, gym, security, and attentive staff. For roughly $50 more, the difference in quality, comfort, and security was enormous. Based on this experience, I would not stay at a SOVA property again, and I am disappointed that Booking.com presented this property in a way that did not reflect my experience upon arrival.

Absolutely amazing! The staff, the location, and very clean. Plus it looks modern. I thought the place was great. And I love the little bar downstairs. Plus the location location!

Hotel staff were great! Very friendly and helpful! The place was kept very clean too. It was a great mix of value for the location and price. My only complaint is that the pillows weren't so great. If they upgrade their pillows, it would be perfect for budget solo or couple travelers who just need a room and a shower for a night or two.

The room was clean and comfortable That there is no parking lot for the location had to use a parking lot across the street that belonged to a different establishment

I really enjoyed my stay at Sova. It was super convenient and clean. Great coffee bar. I liked being on the middle of great restaurants & bars. Will definitely be back !

It was pretty much exactly what I anticipated based on the advertisement/info provided. The staff were especially helpful, friendly, supportive and just all-around great people - better than any other hotel/motel I have ever used. The AC made a little noise, but when I learned how to use the controller - it was FINE! Wish they had a special link to the parking lot across the street to make it easier to use ((maybe even a discount!!!)) LOL!

The cold brew coffee at the bar with all the fixins was absolutely amazing

The parking was good, the room was clean, we didn't use the bar but the stay was friendly.
