I had made plans specifically around enjoying the hotel during my stay, and because I was not informed about the closure until I arrived, those plans had to be completely canceled. At that point, I was essentially left paying for a room while being unable to enjoy a significant part of the experience I had paid for. I understand that private events happen and that circumstances can change, but I feel guests should be given advance notice when an amenity or major part of the hotel experience will be unavailable. Had I known beforehand, I could have made a different decision about where to stay. I hope management will take this feedback seriously. I would also appreciate consideration for some form of compensation or adjustment to my stay, because the experience I booked and expected was not the experience that was provided.

Located in downtown Dallas a few blocks from Deep Ellum, the Statler is a retro-style hotel with two pools and several dining options and a cocktail lounges. The staff were helpful and friendly, the room was spacious and clean, housekeeping was thorough, and the space was comfortable, safe, and secure. I would definitely go back next time I am in Dallas.

The Statler is a nostalgic hotel if you know the history, however the rooms just feel like a regular hotel. Our bathroom sink was coming out the wall and bedroom smelled of mildew. The nice part was the access to two pools and the bar onsite but the closing times for the pool was kind of an inconvenience. We also only had a view of the air conditioning units for our anniversary so that wasn’t the best. The onsite valet was also pretty expensive being we had a 4 day stay so we did have to park off site. The overall stay wasn’t bad just nothing to write home about.

We had an amazing time, swam in both pools, the view from my room was amazing, everyone was kind, helpful and friendly, definitely recommend and will be coming back!

One of the worst experiences I have ever had at a hotel. The customer service is terrible; they didn’t treat me like a paying customer. Every time I had a question, I was treated like I was supposed to already know. I paid for the breakfast package and was told they don’t accept that, so it was a waste of money and a false advertisement. I will have to dispute it with my bank. I had to pay 50 dollars for breakfast for one person. When you check in, they don’t give you any information on the hotel amenities, such as their locations and times they close. The parking is 60 dollars a night. All this would not be bad if it were worth the money. The hotel needs to be updated; the hotel smells, and everything is literally falling apart. The carpets are so old and dirty; the bathroom wasn’t even clean. I will never return to this hotel for a stay.Bed but eggs in blankets

The room wasn't cleaned, there was hair in the tub and HVAC wasn't working, then we were switched to a smaller room. After going downstairs to sort it out we noticed they pulled my vehicle for someone else to drive. After expressing my concern they did not understand my frustration. After that we were place in a suite, that had a roach in it

On the day I arrived, I was given a room, but when I opened the door, I found it had already been used; I had to go to the secretaries and ask for another room.

Overall the hotel was great from the staff to the room. One thing I did notice was the head boards had stains as the material is fabric.
