Hyatt Place Ft. Lauderdale Airport & Cruise Port

Newly renovated and comfortable room. Main floor renovations have disrupted bar and afternoon food service. Staff are coping well during the disruption.

Property was under renovation, but no warning was given to us. We walked in and my children thought that it was a prank when they saw the whole place was under renovation. Reception was at this weird room. Breakfast at another weird room. We felt like we were staying at someone’s basement. I understand properties need to go under renovations, but they should want travellers and/or renovate the hotel in sections so to not disturb everyone. Stay clear while renovations are ongoing.

Was under construction with no water for hours and I was not informed of this. The staff didn’t even offer a refund as it was booked via Expedia.

Under construction should be great when it’s finished

We just stayed for one night because we were cruising out the next but we enjoyed it. Didn’t realize they were under construction, however, the top 3 floors were done and the rooms were beautiful. Looked like no one even stayed in them yet. We did have an issue with outlets and when I said something they moved us to a new room no problem! I know once the construction is done it is going to look fantastic. Would definitely stay here again.

The property was under construction, which we were never told about. Dirty dusty one elevator 20 minute wait for. Our coffee pot didn’t work. Our electrical outlet didn’t work and our water pressure was a tiny trickle. They should have left pre-booked guest know about the construction. We booked three months early and are very disappointed with the service.

The entire hotel is under renovation - which was not noted when we booked. So there is one elevator in use for the entire hotel. I took the stairs one day, and the stairwell is FULL of reno trash. Definitely NOT a safe exit in case of an emergency. You have to go find the 'lobby' in some dirty room. The front desk said two words to me when checking in 'card and ID'. I didn't sign anything when checking in, and she just handed me my rooms keys without saying anything. I was like sooo am I good? The room was definitely renovated, but dirty. Hair on the bathroom floor, something sticky on the nightstand. yikes, it was gross! And in the morning when we woke up - no water. Couldn't shower, flush the toilet, brush our teeth. Front desk girl said that her manager wasn't there that day, so nothing she could do. I hardly ever leave reviews - but I don't want anyone to get tricked like I was. This place was the absolute worst and it's sad that Expedia had them ranked so high.

Loved the room. I was amazed at how quiet the room was considering the property is up against a major highway, and there are some large roads for shopping districts also adjacent to the property. That same shopping district made it very convenient because it was walkable for major retailers, Hobby lobby, TJ Maxx, and other name-brand stores, shoe stores and several restaurants for eat in or takeout. There was also a large regal movie theater. The hotel offers free shuttle service to the Fort Lauderdale airport that leaves every hour, and it was very convenient. The bed was comfortable. The pillows were comfortable. The set up in the room was different than most hotel rooms, but it worked. It was recently renovated, and it was done beautifully. We arrived early and we’re able to get checked into a room early, which was very gracious of the staff to do. We were able to observe their morning breakfast, which was a very nice spread. There is a laundry room with one large front load washer and one dryer. It cost $2.50 to use each, but only takes quarters. There is no change machine on the premise, you have to walk across the street to their sister hotel to get changed. That is the only thing that needs to be changed is either have changed on the premises or switch those machines over to be cashless.

Freeway in backyard made it super loud. And the air conditioning unit was also super loud, could not sleep at all!

The hotel was under construction. The first form that they gave us that air-conditioning unit was busted and didn’t work. The vanity in our room would not turn on. The signs in the hotel said Work would not begin until 8:30 AM. Work started at 8:15.

This location was very conveniently situated near the airport. It was also really nice to have

It ended up being a comfortable stay besides the weir encounters and feeling exposed to public. The beds were really cozy and we slept amazing. Oh and they charge for parking unless you can find a spot up front. Weird that hotels would charge their guest to park. Just a chance for them to make more money.

It's currently on process of renovation. I liked water pressure when I visited last year but the room that I was staying already renovated and it was bit different. Other than that, the staffs were very helpful and nice. The room was clean too.
