Best Western Plus North Shore Hotel

For us, this hotel was ideally located within 35 of Rockport, Salem, Gloucester, and Crane Beach. It was also about 45 minutes from Boston and Cambridge. The nightly rate was more affordable compared to hotels in Rockport and Gloucester, as well the hotels in Cambridge. So good value with good amenities, an indoor pool, and nearby shops and restaurants.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly

The front desk manager is awesome. I explained my situation n he made some accommodation and as well snacks for my kids. This kind of respects deserves to get notice. Thank you manager. You deserve that title.

House keeping seems every other day

Property was beautiful driving up to hotel. Clean rooms and amenities. Staff keep up with the property to ensure it is neat and clean. Will stay again!

It was a great place to stay I will stay there again

We booked a room in the lower level. Everything was nice and neat, except for the musty smell that linger in the room (basement type of odor). I wouldn’t stay in the lower level of the hotel anymore due to the bad experience.

This property made us feel safe and welcome. The only complaint I have it that our air conditioner in the room was extremely nosey. Which we informed the staff. We also noticed the queen size beds are more like a double and the pillows are small half size pillows. Other than that. Our stay was great.

We stayed at the hotel for one night, and had a pretty lousy experience. We had prepaid for our room via hotels.com. When we checked in, the front desk staff were very nice, but they gave us a room with right by both the ice machine and the elevator. In any hotel, the rooms by elevator are usually the noisiest ones with people coming and going at all hours of the night. Once we actually got inside the room we realized that the bathroom smelled awfully of sewage. The odor was so bad that we could smell it throughout the entirety of the bedroom. After about fifteen minutes, we realized we couldn’t stand it anymore, and we called down to the front desk. They reassigned us to another room, which turned out to be the room right on the other side of the elevator. Not surprisingly, it was incredibly noisy, although, to our surprise, the noise didn’t come from the elevator: people were running up and down the hall on the floor above. Thump, thump, thump, thump, pause, thump, thump, thump, pause—this repeated over and over for HOURS as we tried in vain to sleep. All in all, we would not go back.
