Off Broadway B&B

Doc was very friendly, he stayed up late for my arrival. Lucy was an adorable dog. The house was very unique. They gave my room away, which included a larger room and a private bathroom. They put me in a smaller room with a shared bathroom. I ended up switching hotels.

I gave a 3 because the husband did assist with something that made me uncomfortable. The first thing I noticed was a bad smell and it was very strong in my room, as well. The room was okay, but there's dirt along the walls and it needed to be dusted. There were a few hairs in my bed that I cleaned off. I then noticed that there is an internal window above the bedroom door and this made me really uncomfortable. It is ABOVE the door so not something to easily see in, but I still found it uncomfortable to have an internal window that I can't cover in a house where I don't know anyone. I called booking.com first and they essentially said they will send an email and ask about letting me leave with a refund, and recommended I speak with them myself. I went downstairs to do that and spoke with the husband about the window and mentioned the hair and told him I wanted to leave and he asked who they're going to rent the room to, they can't do that, he'll protect me, etc. Then said we need to ask his wife. She offered a half refund, but I can't afford to just lose money like that so then they offered me a new room. The husband came up and put paper over the window above the door for me, which I appreciated. The room was larger and smelled better, but also was not clean. There was dirt and hair on the floor, the little rugs, and the bath mats. The following night I left for a concert and arrived back at about 12am. When I came in, the husband greeted me and told me that he didn't want to confront me but they had seen the email from booking.com and he wished I hadn't done that, that I broke his wife's heart, and that she had been crying about it, and kept saying he hopes I leave a positive review. This midnight confrontation was very uncomfortable.

Judy and Doc are terrific. Breakfast was great every day. Location is in a cool indie neighborhood with lots of restaurants, coffee shops, bars and music venues. Hot water took a while to turn on, but you get used to it.

Fantastic location and fantastic staff. Doc and Judith were extremely accommodating and we're amazing hosts throughout my story. The bed was amazing, the property was well-maintained, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Will definitely be staying here again if I come back to Denver.

Lovely place with lovely hosts! The banana bread for breakfast is out of this world and the cherry on top are Wilson and Lucy, their two adorable dogs. Highly recommend!

Judith and Doc were amazing hosts! Great location- bars and restaurants were right around the corner. Easy to take the bus or to hop on the highway with the rental car. Very cute dogs they had that were well trained :) N/a

I love old Victorian homes and this was an old one that had not been kept up really well but it was a comfortable stay.

Location Ambient bad odor in house.Shared bathroom. Dirty & dusty.. stains on white coverlet on bed. Bathroom towels had to be asked for..

This place was super close to where I needed to be, so the location was awesome. I had to come and go at crazy times, but they already had plans on how to deal with that and everything worked out great. This was my first time staying at a B&B; it was much more personal than a hotel, a much shorter distance from the car to my room, and like I said, an awesome location. As you’d imagine, it’s a house with a driveway, so sometimes you have to play musical cars to get out, depending on everyone’s timing, but they have a system in place that makes it easy, and to have off-street parking in that part of the city is pretty amazing. My crazy schedule meant I never got to try the breakfast part of the B&B thing, but I hear it’s great. Plus the other guests and owners were very kind, welcoming, and helpful. I’d definitely recommend!

Bed and bathroom clean. Stairs to the rooms. 2 dogs live at the property.

I was understandably dismayed and stunned. Judith did offer to allow us to use the bathroom in another empty room for one night so that we felt more comfortable. But, she let us know it would be for one night only. We chose to leave and not stay the next night rather than share the bathroom down the hall. We are awaiting a refund for our second night. Sharing a bathroom is fine for a hostel. We have stayed in them many times when we were younger. But, we are older now and want our own bathroom. We were charged $200, which is not a hostel price. If the listing were to be corrected, I'm sure many guests would like staying at the bed and breakfast. It's in a good location. Breakfast was good. It was nice visiting with other guests.

Judith and Doc are great hosts. Very attentive and so kind. Cannot recommend this place more.

Doc and Judith were fabulous hosts and great conversationalists. Breakfast was excellent. There is a great pub across the street and tons of eating places up and down Broadway. The pub across the street got a little noisy on Friday night. Of course, the World Cup was going on...

Perfect location and fantastic hosts !

We had such a great stay! We really enjoyed getting to know Judith and Doc and their cute pups! They were around if you needed them and had great suggestions! Would love to stay again :)

It was very, very hot and without AC, I had to rely on a weak floor fan and the open window, which did little to cool down the room but let in a fair amount of noise from the alley below.
