The chalet has beautiful pics but the room we were in was unappealing at best. The room was painted traffic cone orange. Start with the bath tub that had black n gray n brown gunk on it and the drain full of hair and paint chips, then the toilet that had to have the handle held for several seconds to get to flush.

Had a great time here. Super hands off staff which was nice. Was super charming. We got to go home after our show and watch cartoons it was just a sweet little spot! Can’t wait for our next stay there!

Amazing room! The bath tub was great

We arrived early and the property manager let us check in early without any extra charge which was so nice. The decor and theme are really cool. The beautiful chandeliers and antique pieces were such a vibe. We were there for a concert and the shuttle pick up was walking distance so that was great. Plenty of restaurants and a fun bar right down the street. Surprisingly quiet in the room despite the hustle and bustle going on outside. I have zero complaints. Only recommendation is to bring your own toiletries, which we forgot. While there are some provided they are very tiny tubes so between me and my husband we ran out after one shower. There is a 711 across the street so easy solve.

There was no reception. No staff. I got a code to get in. Not exactly what youlook for as a woman traveling by herself .

The room was very comfortable, and beautiful. It was in the area of where we were going to be the most active during our stay The parking was difficult.

Cool old hotel with great style

I loved the Holiday Chalet for its character and for Alejandro, a staff member who was incredibly attentive and generous. Also - I slept like a baby in both of the rooms I stayed in, the Helene and the Charles rooms.

The value of this place is really good! If you like older Victorian vibes, this place is for you. It is right off Colfax so it is pretty loud but they do provide ear plugs which was an added touch. I also liked that they provided toothbrushes/ toothpaste, a razor/ shave cream along with the usual hotel things like body wash/shampoo. The room was clean but it is pretty old so if you’re looking for something super modern and updated, you’ll want to pick somewhere else. The Albert room we stayed in had a kitchenette as well which was really nice

Run down, unsafe area, no parking, no service as far as staff on-site or answering phone calls. No call backs after requested.

The interiors of the rooms. Very pretty. Could hear people outside shouting from the rooms.
-
Even location wise this was in front of a gas station which was shady af.

This place is such a colfax time portal and true gem. The decor was very cool. Location was great on the facts of life. The room was great for the price with everything I needed and a great view. Check in was easy and host was responsive but not physically present. They accommodated an early check in and were very nice.

This is a very unique stay. We parked right on High Street with no issues. I was really pleasantly surprised by how quiet the room was, given the location. The rooms are special, but old, and there were some maintenance issues. Still, I'd stay there again. The beds and comfortable and the shower worked great. You get lots of bathroom amenities if you need them.

The rooms are big and spacious with good amenities and overall clean. The chalet is located in the Colfax avenue which is crowded with homeless people and very loud and risky at night. I cut my hand with a piece of broken glass on the floor of the room while stretching. And when coming back to the chalet after my morning run a homeless was waiting in front of the door for me to do the code and manage to walk in. Minutes later at least 6 homeless in unusual state had entered and were blocking the exit. I got yelled at and spat on in the Airbnb. I am travelling alone and do not recommend this location to anyone who is travelling by themselves. Not safe.

The location was interesting. Free parking a block or so away which was no big deal. I liked the no contact check-in as well. Codes sent to email for security.

Pretty cool building, not fancy at all. The neighborhood was terrible! So bad that you didn’t want to go outside the building for anything, had to park 2 blocks away, and worried about my truck all night.
