Exceptional

I would stay here again, from the time you pull up with valet parking everyone was very nice and helpful. The hotel was clean the room was nice. We ate at Taps which I thought was really good and reasonably priced we enjoyed our quick trip and would love to do it again soon.

Everything was great. I just wish that the pool and spa weren't together. It made swimming awkward.

Nice stay!

Overbooked the hotel and told me the run wasn’t available and I would need to start at a overflow hotel, ended up being able to get a room but it wasn’t clean and had to send someone to clean. Felt very unsafe staying here and guests harassed my wife in the elevator.

My girls and I stayed on a Wednesday for a concert and our room wasn't ready until after 5 pm and then our keys didn't work. It almost ruined our itinerary, I will def check other hotels for our next trip

Their check-in process is a joke. Parked in self-parking to discover the elevators in the parking structure were out of order. Signage was not helpful in directing me where to enter for the hotel. Found a door that led into the casino where I was greeted by security guards who required a photo ID in order to enter the premises. Again, signage is not very well placed to help you determine the path to the hotel check in desk. After pulling my suitcase thru the casino for 10 minutes I came to another security check point and had to ask where the check in desk was located. With not much entusiasm, the security guard pointed down a hallway. Finally, made it to the check-in desk after a 10 mintue stroll thru the casino between 3:30 and 4:00 pm. The person at the desk asked for my ID and credit card and stated that they did not have a room yet ready for my check-in. She asked me for my cell number and said that I would receive a text when the room was available and I could come back to the desk to finalize my check-in. So, I went back towards the casino and had to show ID again to enter the area. Went to the sports bar and ordered a beer. After another 90 minutes of waiting and not receiving a text message, I went back to the check-in desk and got the same clerk. I told her it was well past their check-in time of 4:00 pm and that I needed to get in to a room so I could change clothes to attend an event. She checked and said that the room was ready, No apology for the del

Staff was great and room clean. Overall great experience. The only concern is the 4 PM check in time. There is no grace period. We stayed in a luxury corner suite and did not get the room until exactly 4 PM in my opinion at 4 PM. Check-in is late usually 3 PM is more acceptable.

The casino was clean and nice, the rooms were clean but ac didn’t work and they are understaffed. Check in was awful got to the hotel at 11am yes check in was at 4 but we went to the front desk let them know we were here. 6pm comes around still no text our room was ready. So we go to the front desk and they tell us they don’t have a room for us. Over booked. I said we were from out of state so she went back to talk to manager and “found us a room” the room was 75 degrees and ac was not working. Thankfully the next night they were able to switch us to another room.

Everyone with high expectations will be very happy with a stay at the MGM Grand of Detroit.

Great staff and exceptionally clean rooms and property

Microwaves should be available 24/7 in the lobby to warm food if they are not in rooms. I should not have to pay to use a microwave in such a hotel. Other than that, perfect visit and staff.
