The staff were very helpful and professional. My room was clean except for a few spots on the all white bedding. The wireless charger on my side of the bed was not working, but it didn't matter because I always travel with my own charger.

I honestly have no complaints. Check in prices was a breeze. Was a line due to the concert but they moved through patrons pretty well. Dined at the rooftop restaurant. Food was better than expected and reasonably priced.

Bar time during the day is slower

I was excited to stay at The Godfrey Hotel Detroit, but my experience got off to a disappointing start. When we arrived for check-in, we waited approximately 1–2 hours in the lobby because there were no rooms available. There were several other guests waiting as well, so it wasn’t an isolated issue. Unfortunately, there was very little communication or accommodation during the wait. We were simply asked to sit in the lobby until a room became available. After traveling, that was frustrating and not the level of service I expected from a hotel of this caliber. I hope the hotel improves its check-in process and does a better job communicating with and accommodating guests when delays occur.

We could not sleep well any nights due to AC making squeaking noise. We had to turn it off completely and unfortunately the same kind of noise from neighbors AC was then dominating. We had informed the front desk about it. The hotel is very clean and great location and seemed very popular. The interior design is very nice.

Amazing hotel. Top notch cleanliness and modern. Most comfortable hotel bed and shower I have ever felt!! This will be my go to in future trips. The little Italian spot across the street has amazing food too.

Outstanding newer hotel in the center of Corktown, Detroit's oldest neighborhood. Close proximity to restaurants, casinos, downtown. Bellman Antonio is a wealth of information and ALL staff was warm and accommodating. The rooftop lounge was exceptional. Rooms are clean and comfortable, large bathroom, clean crisp towels, sheets, etc. A wonderful place to stay when visiting the motor city. We will be back!!
-
We were disappointed with our rooms view, we had booked our room 6months prior to our stay in hopes of securing a room with a favorable view of the city (shown/promoted in brochure). We ended up with a room with a view of a neighboring building side and air conditioning complex. The premium view was only accessible thru the upper story restaurant or "party area" with "limited" hours or access, no general viewing otherwise. Wedding party's overwhelmed the hotel, and took president to amenities for the normal nights stayers. :(

Very nice and cozy hotel. The bar up top was phenomenal and the menu was different. The weather was so cold when we went to visit but staff was so helpful and kept everything warm and clean while we were there. The valets were so kind and quick to grab our vehicle when we left for the day. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. The location was also a plus.

Everything from valet to cleaning staff was fantastic. Really cool area with enough bars and restaurants within walking distance. I would definitely recommend the Godfrey to anyone that asked.
