You can't beat the location! Top notch for Corktown. Had family in from KY so we were able to end our night after the Tigers game at The Yard next door. So fun! then a night cap on the amazing roof top bar. Would def stay here again.

Have stayed at the property a couple of times. Convenient to multiple venues and such a nice place to stay. Courteous helpful staff and well kept rooms keep me coming back.

We had no air conditioning. When we checked in the room was at 78 we told the front desk it was not getting cooler. They sent someone up who said he would be back, he never came back. We had to leave for our event. We came back the room was still at 78. We called the front desk - they did NOTHING. They told us maintenance would be in at 6am! No fans offered, no changing rooms for the night NOTHING! The staff did nothing to resolve the issue. And I feel lime they knew at checking because when maintenance came in and removed the filter it was disgusting dirty and even then the room never got cooler.

We found bugs in our bed!!! Then when we walk down to the lobby to get another room, the person working the front desk was inebriated, behind inebriated, and took almost 40 minutes to grant us another room. No sorry, no refund of any kind, no remorse whatsoever. Unless you like a very unhelpful staff and disgusting rooms, DO NOT GO HERE

The ambiance, environment, staff was beyond amazing & kind.

My room was very contemporary and very clean with a nice view of Corktown. I also really enjoyed the rooftop bar and its views of the Detroit skyline. Highly recommend.

It was clean. It was beautiful, and all of the staff was friendly and courteous. First time staying I loved everything maybe I’ll have something to say next time

It didn't have a spa or pool

The Godfrey was a fantastic hotel and I'd recommend it strongly to anyone visiting the Detroit area

My night was not pleasant. There were kids running down the hallway, knocking on my door all night long. They do not monitor this facility there were kids running around disturbing our peace

The Godfrey is modern and attractive with down-home southern hospitality and a jazzy good time vibe. From the moment you walk in you feel welcolm. Room was clean and comfortable. Food was a culinary marvel. Service was impeccable. And the place is central to all of the sites. I will be back.

Every person I encountered at the hotel was extremely friendly, professional and helpful. I would also add a note about the city of Detroit. I had to ask for directions twice from locals and they were so kind, really went out of their way. All of the personell handling traffic flow after an event at the arena were also friendly and helpful.

Central location, nice big bar/lounge in lobby and great rooftop lounge. Ample room and in very good condition except shampoo dispenser in the shower was missing.

Superb

Beautiful, clean, valet guys were nice. So noisy. Couldn’t sleep because people were partying in their room until 5am. Spoke to the front desk and her literal response was “It’s a party hotel. We have a rooftop bar”. Um ok. I looked at the listing and there’s no indication of it being a party hotel that allows guests being loud all night is okay.
