Hampton Inn & Suites Atlanta/Duluth/Gwinnett County

The hotel was inexpensive but what I’m realizing in the Atlanta area with that phrase “you get what You pay for” held true with this property. From the moment you walk in and the automatic doors opening with a bang noice to stop themselves, I should have realized something was off. After waiting forever to go up just 1 floor by elevator, it took an extremely long time at 9:30pm Sunday for the elevator to pick us up. The inside of elevator is very worn out. As we exit the elevator to the 2nd floor, we were greeted with a terrible odor, couldn’t place it at first. Just wanting to escape it by going to our hotel room. We were tired, went to adjust the window shades for privacy and the floor below the window and AC unit was soaked. Called the front desk to tell them what our room condition was and you could barely hear the front desk associate who I think was mumbling on the terrible phone. So tired, I hung up phone and we all went to sleep and we had an early day next morning. Next morning arrives, and I go to ice machine maker on 2nd floor. The ice room area is gross. I attempt to get ice and there’s nothing coming out even though you can hear the motor buzzing as if it’s working. Then I realize the wretched smell on the 2nd floor is coming from that room. I didn’t see anything but it smelt is if something was dead. Needless to say did not get any ice. The best part of our stay was that we were leaving knowing that I would never return to this property ever again.

Good experience, was convenient stay for me, helpful staff

I was assigned room 809 but the door would not lock. I went back down to the desk and was assigned room 813. A couple of weeks later I was sleep in bed when I heard a faint alarm but could not hear the voice clearly so I opened the door to hear. It said to evacuate to 1st floor. When I got there one worker said she didn't know what was going on. A man and woman hotel worker said they had put documents under new guest doors saying it was a drill. I informed them that I had checked in June 5th and did not receive any notice about a fire drill. I called customer support and reported this info. I said if this had been a real fire people could have been killed in a fire.

Friendly staff The rooms are showing a lot of wear and tear conditions and could definitely use some TLC. I will not stay at this location again until a MUCH NEEDED FACELIFT in the Rooms. Bed was lumpy and my back hurt, mattress needs to be replaced. When flushing the toilet it made a loud noise and gurgled most of the time.

The customer service was excellent; Mario (Front Office Manager) provided a warm welcome, and at breakfast, Ms. Rosa was very kind and attentive, addressing guests' needs at all times with a lovely smile... The only downside was seeing some gray stains on a pillowcase and the bedspread

We checked in pretty late though, but the receptionist at the front was super helpful. He was very knowledgeable about the property and everything around it. Breakfast was amazing the ladies who cooked it did it a great job and they were so welcoming. The pool was fabulous. Good amount of tables and love that they had towels out there. The pool was half shaded, which was really great as well. The water pressure in the shower was amazing and it got so hot. I love a good steamy shower. The room was very cozy. Had a lot of space. The air condition was fabulous. We even noticed while we were gone throughout our busy day. They came in and gave us new towels and picked up little trash here and there which was super great after a long stressful day. I love that there’s a gas station right down the street and a grocery store about four minutes away. Altogether we loved it and definitely if we ever visit again will be choosing this hotel. I think the only downfall is this hotel is about 30 to an hour away from a lot attractions. But also good cause once you get down there, the traffic is crazy and it is very noisy so I’m definitely glad we pick somewhere kind of far because it was so quiet and the scenery was beautiful.

There was a roach crawling on the wall in our room. We asked for an extra pillow, the staff said they didn't have any extra available.

Best experience with everything, will be my go to when in the Atlanta market!!!
