Hotel Concord Syracuse, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Original room when checked in was not cleaned it was urine in and on the toliet bed unmmade trash overflowing. Limited acess to towels and toliet paper the room door had trouble locking so we didnt feel safe. The soap dispenser broke off from the wall while in shower all on its own.

Easy check in, clean room and very comfortable beds.

Management is not bad, but staffs are not willing help people.

There were cockroaches in our room and the room was dirty. There was no soap, body wash, shampoo or conditioner in our room and we have to ask for some. Upon leaving our room, we discovered that the lock on our door didn’t work and had to be fixed.

Places is definitely not a Hilton. It looks like the hotel was once a Days Inn. The staff is very friendly. That’s about the only good thing I could say. The location of the place is very safe and secure. When I went to take a shower, I found hairs in the bathtub and I was so tired after a long day of traveling that I just washed them down myself. The breakfast was nothing more than waffles and juice. Nothing really of nutritional value, the bed was comfortable and clean if you’re traveling for the Thruway or maybe a day at the state fair this place might be OK but if you’re looking of anything of quality, you will be greatly disappointed.

Even though hotel had been recently renovated the walls were very poorly acoustically enhanced if at all and doors had no acoustical seals so every sound in the hall was clearly heard in the room. The breakfast was a joke and an insult for customers hoping to have a decent breakfast. This is second time I stayed at this hotel and I won’t make that mistake again.

When I arrived at the hotel, I was addressed by a woman eating blue takis at the desk and she wiped her nose on her arm and said the reason was due to what she was eating. Her fingers also had blue residue. She did not tell us how to get to the elevators I had to ask. I booked a long room and walked into a two full size bedroom. The water leaked from the tub. People were loud in the hallway. Following morning, there was minimal breakfast options at 8am. Highly disappointed with this stay and would not pay to ever stay here.

The night staff was great and very helpful. But the recent renovation left us without some basic needs. There was no light above the sink in the bathroom, and the lighting was very poor for doing makeup, etc. The Free breakfast was not great. I feel they could have at least had some fresh fruit and yogurts instead of all breads, muffins waffles. Hopefully this was all due to the recent renovation, and they will get these things figured out. The rooms were a decent size and a good deal.

Breakfast okay -- liked especially the banana nut muffins. Location was super. Would have preferred more selection options for breakfast.

Sent to 1st room on 2nd floor still being renovated, literally drilling in the bathroom. Then sent to 2nd room on 1st floor where the tv was on the bed with wires out. Then sent to a 3rd room on 4th floor where the toilet was broken, tv was broke and very low lighting in the bathroom. Overall, very poor visit!

The hotel is in the process of transferring to a Hilton Spark. All the walls have been repainted, the bathroom tiles, bedroom and bathroom fixtures, mattresses, sheets, towels and flooring gave just been replaced. Breakfast area was clean and well stocked. Coffee machine is free and available 24/7. Hotel is very easy to reach from the NYS Thruway.

Everything about this hotel was amazing very clean very quiet amazing staff. We will be back again!!

The property is well kept, clean and quiet. They are currently under renovation so the gym isn’t quite ready yet and also, the lighting in the bathrooms are too low. Other than that, had a great stay. Oh, no hot breakfast served 😔
