We checked in LATE — about 1 AM — and the guy at the front desk was wonderful. The they allowed us to sleep in. Beds and room incredibly comfortable. Lobby very nice, even upscale. The elevator looked like a train wreck.

When I am entering into the hotel ,the staff is so rude to answer the questions .

Rooms are large and clean, AC works great! Beds and pillows are very comfortable. Food offerings were very good and reasonably priced. The desk staff was amazingly patient with our (older) group and helpful arranging shuttle services to and from Newark airport. The shuttles run frequently and the drivers are great!

Right next to jersey gardens for shoppers, very good airport hotel. Front office is very helpful and well trained Location is far away from everything, housekeeping woke me up twice in 3 days

Early check-in was not provided despite requesting it, although that ended up being the least of my concerns. Parts of the hotel seem renovated, while the rest looks extremely outdated and poorly maintained (see the elevator photos). The contrast is very noticeable. Parking was another issue. Even while paying over $30 per night, parking was not always available. The “included breakfast” was honestly a joke. We booked a package with breakfast expecting at least basic options like eggs, toast, or cereal, but what was offered was very disappointing (see uploaded photo). The Bistro staff, specifically the two ladies working there, had some of the worst attitudes I have encountered in hospitality. Very unfriendly and unwelcoming. The rooms also did not include a safety box, which is something I would expect from a Marriott hotel. What bothered me the most was housekeeping entering our room despite us clearly placing the “Do Not Disturb / No Cleaning” sign on the door. We intentionally left the sign because we did not want anyone entering the room, yet we came back to find towels changed and trash emptied. If I wanted service, I would have removed the sign myself. Overall, I will never stay here again. The other nearby hotels are better in every aspect — service, maintenance, and overall experience. I honestly do not understand how Marriott, with its reputation and usual level of service, allows this branch to operate at such a low standard.

I like the airport shuttle and it was easy to navigate to. Rooms were a fantastic size with really comfortable bed and sofa. Property felt dated. It could use a refresh.

The bistro was at best a 5 on the scale of one to 10. The only thing good about your hotel was the staff! They are wonderfu. The people in the hierarchy of Marriott should be ashamed of themselves. For the horrible position, you put those people in because your properties, physically are shabby . And they have no support and they’re stuck explaining to the customers why you people are so cheap and that you don’t have an organized way in how you operate your properties. How anyone gives good ratings for this property defies any explanation… it was pure dung.. not even a coffee station for a complementary coffee. Pay for parking. I will never stay at a Courtyard By Marriot again. You received an email off of the initial complaint they asked for it. I told them, and they offered nothing in return. I will be all over the Internet, speaking the truth about Courtyard By Marriot… there wasn’t even an elevator that worked on one side..

Having only one functional very slow elevator makes me wonder if they're selling this place soon.

Quieter than expected for being next to the airport. Room decor was a bit weird. Otherwise, served it's purpose of an overnight before our flight early the next day.
