Extended Stay America Suites Elizabeth Newark Airport

The first room I was in the stove, refrigerator and a/c was not working and it took 4 days before they switched my room. And their so called breakfast was just coffee. My overall experience was worse than I experienced before.

Great hotel and they treat you good

First off, it takes forever at the front desk to get checked in. Then we were only given 2 towels when there were 4 adults. When asked for more towels we were told to bring down the dirty ones and then collect more towels. Is this how hotels operate these days? And the clerk was very rude. The front lobby was dirty and one of our rooms was saturated with the smell of cigarette although we booked a non-smoking room. I'd give this hotel a 0 if I could.

u can definitely find better

Had bugs,no house keeping had to pay extra for that. staff was nice and did help assist with a partial refund

Beware that if you book here and you have a car, they charge you $20 parking fee on top of which you pay for your room. That’s complete bull and should be mentioned prior to booking the appointment or included in the price of the room that you’re trying to get!!!

When my wife and I entered the lobby, a woman sitting near the front desk was grumbling to herself and complaining. A security camera screen behind the front desk said “Recording in Progress.” While checking us in , the front desk employee went to a check the cleanliness of the room. The room was clean, full mattress a bit firm, and the AC was colder than the 70 degrees that we set it at. It will do in a pinch or if you just need a place to stay near Newark Airport.

Our flight out of Newark got cancelled late night and pretty much our only available option for close lodging was this place. We probably should have just slept at the airport. Room was nice size (of course it's an extended stay hotel), walls had pealing paint everywhere, the floors were dirty and carpet was gross, sticky and badly stained. My husband killed bugs in the bathroom, and the shower curtain rod was barely being held up by a couple screw heads not even screwed into the holder, but using the flat head part of the screw on the outer perimeter to hold it in place which caused the curtain to slide away from both walls to the center. the drain pop up and metal outer ring (that is supposed to be sealed to the tub) were just loose shifting around with the water. The shower head had a ton of corrosion all over it. The bathroom floor towel/mat had dirty shoe prints on it even though it was folded and draped over tub wall like it was cleaned. We slept (hardly) on top of the beds/covers, didn't want to take a chance on seeing under the covers. I did give 2 stars for amenities only because it had a free shuttle back to the airport.

When I walked in the room was beautifully clean and I like how the room AC was on already...I would definitely stay here again

Dirty carpets, dirty bathroom, the room was Smokey though it was Non smoking room. Very bad !

Strong urine smell in the rooms. Strange stains on the rug. I’d rather sleep on the airport floor than here.

It was also pretty smelly, and wondrous concoction of chow mein and body spray. The included "breakfast" was a sad lonely lil muffin in an empty basket surrounded by the broken dreams of hungry travellers. But it was definitely a step up from sleeping at the airport after our flight was cancelled, so there is that.

It smelled terrible and it was dirty. My tub was clogged and I requested for house keeping and they flat out said no. I told them I would pay if needed and still said no. There was no breakfast but only coffee and cheap muffins.

FRAUDE ET ATTRAPE. Pire endroit pour rester!!! Nous avons appelé juste avant de faire la réservation afin de nous assurer que la navette de l'aéroport jusqu'à l'hôtel était en service et qu'ils servaient bien le déjeuner, comme mentionné. L'hôtel nous indique qu'il y a bien la navette et le déjeuner. Nous avons fait la réservation et nous nous sommes dirigés vers l'endroit des navettes à l'aéroport (qui nous a fait faire le tour de l'aéroport 2 fois car les instructions données dans le courriel de réservation n'étaient pas bonnes) et avons appelé afin qu'ils nous l'envoient.... À ce moment… littéralement 1 h après les avoir appelés, ils nous disent que la navette n'est pas en fonction! Nous avons donc du retourner à l'autre terminal afin d'appeler un Uber.. qui nous a coûté 20$. Lorsque nous arrivons sur place ils nient complètement le tout... Le lendemain matin, nous nous dirigeons vers le déjeuner… Le déjeuner était un thé ainsi qu’un petit bout de pain froid et dur.... Inmangeable. Encore une fois, dépenses de plus, nous avons dû commander à manger. 30$ supplémentaires. Et bien évidemment, le taxi afin de retourner à l'aéroport... un autre 20$. Pour 70$ de plus, nous aurions pu avoir un bien meilleur hôtel avec navette et déjeuner inclus pour vrai...

Parking charges were not mentioned at check in but charged at check out. Customers need to be advised of parking charge when reservation is made.
