I booked our room in May and when we arrived at the hotel (July 30) the hotel was permanently closed!!! I messaged the property and called them asking about the shuttle without success. At least I was able to rent a car to be able to move somewhere else. All the hotels in the city were booked! I had to drive more than a hour to find another option at 3am in the morning. I would never expect something like this from Best Western. Now I don’t think I can stay there again.

Near O’hare Airport Not properly maintained.

Price and Location. The staff was very friendly. The bed was not comfortable to my liking. But it was clean.

* I am glad this property is scheduled to close, per the notice posted throughout the property. * This property was not meeting the brand expectations. * Initial room provided leaked of odor due to spoiled items in the non-operaring mini fridge * Second room provided had a pest problem, Ants in plenty. * Had I known this property was scheduled to close, logically, I would have made an alternative decision regarding my accommodations.

Nothing I chose this hotel only because of transfer and when I arrived with my 5y.o son after exhausting flight, they say me that they don’t provide shuttle service anymore. I had to pay twice for a taxi, that doubled my expenses for this stay

Everything was good, great breakfast

The breakfast had lots of food and drink options. I really liked that the pastry cabinet had all the pastries wrapped up so you knew no one had touched them. The free airport shuttle was also super easy to find at the airport terminal based on their instructions and left regularly from the hotel. It only runs between 7am and 11pm though unlike most airport hotels that have a 24/7 shuttle so don't book if you need transport outside these hours. Also the shuttle won't run past June 1st due to the hotel being demolished soon (June 28th 2025 according to their website). The carpet was sticky in patches which meant I didn't want to take my shoes off in the room as I had no idea what was on the ground. They didn't give me any towels in the room either and the combination of the two made me wonder if they had only half cleaned the room. The biggest problem however was in the morning they gave a guest (an air hostess checking in early) a key to my room and she came into my room. It was 1 hour before the checkout time so I was still allowed to be in the room I had paid for. This really freaked me out and when I went to talk to the reception staff about it there was only a cleaner there and she didn't care - only wanted to know if I had left the room so they could clean it. I wouldn't stay here unless you don't mind taking the security risk. I got the impression that the staff didn't really care about customers which might be due to the hotel being demolished very soon to make way for a new development (June 28th 2025 according to their website) so returning customers aren't a priority.

There were ants in the room we stayed in. Someone left a gummy worm behind the dresser between the beds and a pile of ants were on the floor and climbing in one of the beds.

Shaun the night porter was a fabulous help upon arrival he was immediately helpful and knowledgeable and despite the time of our arrival dealt with us in an extremely friendly and capable way. The morning receptionist was also very efficient. Toiletries in room could have been larger for 2 people.

We recently stayed at the Best Western O'Hare/Elk Grove Hotel, and overall, it was a good experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made our stay more enjoyable. The breakfast was surprisingly good for the price we paid, with a decent variety of baked goods and beverages. While the selection of hot food wasn’t extensive, the standout for us was definitely the waffle maker. It was also convenient that tea, coffee, and the microwave were available anytime. A major plus was the free airport transfers, making it easy to get to and from O'Hare. The hotel itself was clean, and our room was a good size. The beds and pillows weren’t the most comfortable, which was a bit disappointing. The location is something to keep in mind. While it was convenient for our visit to the Allstate Arena by uber, getting to downtown Chicago took some time. If you're planning to explore the city, staying in Rosemont might be a better option since it's closer to the train station and the arena. Just be mindful of the extra time and costs for transportation if you're planning to go into the city.

The breakfast Shuttle pick up - difficult getting through to them by phone to pick us up.

I initially booked a room for the family , but I ended up going by myself. I was a little worried of being alone, but having someone at the Front desk 24/7 made me worry less. There was a microwave in the lobby. The staff were really nice too, said that I could also have more coffee if I wanted. Someone’s car alarm went off in the middle of the night right outside of my window. I guess I was just too tired to care and slept through it.

Nice hotel and room, Breakfast was nice with a choice of cereal, bagels, and some hot food. Free shuttle service to airport We thought that luggage storage was free but on request they initially said that there was no storage, but after complaining, the manager said we could leave our stuff at a price. Is a 25 minute ride in the shuttle bus, which goes hourly. Not too much within walking distance, but there is a super buffet grill across the road, and a Subway and petrol station opposite
