Great staff, clean and quiet

AC wasn’t working… thermostat said 65 but it wasn’t true. Hallways weren’t cooled and other guests we chatted to had the same experience. Thin walls and doors slamming all night. Crazy bright white smoke alarm light flashing erratically in the corner of the room all night. Comfortable bed and clean, but didn’t sleep a wink due to temp and light issue. valet also “lost” our car… we had to self identify it even once eventually found the keys. It was jammed behind 4 cars, an hour long for the whole process.

The biggest issue I had was with the pool. Unfortunately, it wasn’t working properly during my stay. The hotel explained that the pool pump responsible for maintaining the proper temperature needed to be replaced, so the pool wasn’t really usable. My daughter did get in while I was there, and I checked the temperature—it was around 75°F, which was pretty cold for a pool. That’s the main reason I’m giving this hotel 3½ stars. If the pool had been working properly, I probably would have given it 4½ stars. Other than that, the location seemed safe and decent. The subway isn’t right outside the hotel, so you’ll have to walk about four or five blocks to reach the Main Street station, where you can catch the 7 train into Manhattan. The hotel also has a restaurant on-site that looked pretty nice. I used the workout area during my stay as well, and I thought it was a very good fitness facility. Would I stay here again? Possibly—especially if they get the pool fixed. Other than that issue, I really didn’t have many complaints. For the price I paid for a couple of days, it wasn’t a bad stay at all.

I arrived at 1 am and found out that there were no rooms available because air conditioning for one entire floor was not working. It was out of the control of the front staff. Tim and his team was very helpful in finding us an alternative room at a Fairfield property and made sure that we were taken care of the next day. Great customer service!

We planned to stay there so we could use the pool and hang out after check out until our late afternoon flights. The pool heater was broken, but they also close it down daily from check out until late afternoon check in time.

Hotel shuttle shoul be more frequent. They has no shuttle after 11 pm from airport. It was not convenient for flight delayed. My flight was delayed and I have to wait long. Luckily got the last one.

I didn’t mind staying at the property but no AC in July was miserable and they didn’t seem to be too concerned. I would not go back.

Central location in Flushing. Walkable distance to popular Chinese restaurants. Very close to La Guardia airport. Nice. Clean. Friendly staff.
