An absolute utter disaster. We arrived from a long drive from Canada and had booked a Hilton based on the trusted name, thus no problem spending $400 for a pleasant experience. I noticed when walking to the room how incredibly stale and stinky the air was in the hall and elevator. We entered our room with 2 queens and set our bags inside, the room was super hot, stuffy and gross but we jacked the AC as low as it would go and went down to the restaurant for dinner. The food was subpar, quite certain it was packaged frozen stuff reheated as my travel partner is a chef of 30 years. We went back to the room to discover the temp/air was the same, stuffy and gross and the room had an unpleasant smell. The desk sent tech up who tried to fix it unsuccessfully. He sent a “manager” up and he tried also but, no fix. They were both nice - however I told him if he can’t fix it there’s just no way we can stay as it was intolerable. He said the only room left was 1 bed, and a pull out. I told him we need 2 beds and would appreciate a refund and we’ll book and head elsewhere. He said if we could make that room work, he would see to it that we wouldn’t be charged in the AM at check out. We decided to stay and try to make it work. The room was a 1980 time capsule, bed and pullout were *treacherous*. We woke up sore and exhausted. Shower was lukewarm and a trickle spray. In AM I had to go thru 3 “managers” to end up reducing it to $100 stay instead of $0 as I was told. BEWARE!

Was a great stay and close to everything. Love the little park next door. Was nice to have an outdoor space not attached to the hotel to sit, read and wven a farmers market.

Bed was very comfortable. Was able to make the room very dark which helped me sleep. Staff was friendly and helpful.

75.00 for one night is way too much.

The Breakfast host was super nice and accommodating. She's an asset to the hotel! Nothing, it was a great place.

The location is ideal for checking out local shops and businesses in the area. For those that are staying there it would be beneficial to not have a room on the back of the building as the railroad runs directly behind it. Additionally, my friend and I were woken up several times by the next door people. The sound proofing of the walls is not ideal. While it was likely a result of the ability to make the rooms joined I would prefer not to be woken up by their alarm at 4am, their baby, conversations and constantly walking in and out of their room which echoed into ours. I went to desk prior to 5am to request a fan or noise machine and got nothing but a sorry. When checking out I brought up the same concern and was told nothing could be done since I booked through Expedia. Again the hotel has a nice but waking up and not being able to fall back to sleep was a significant inconvenience while vacationing. I plan on reaching out to Hilton directly as a manager was not available at check out and calling Expedia customer service.

Perfect Hotel, good price, close to shopping, and only 20 or so min from Portland. Worth every penny.
-
The hotel was clean, staff friendly, and location convenient.
-
Wi-Fi without making connections for corporate solicitations would be preferable.

Absolutely loved the firepit

Conveniently located in downtown Freeport- all the shops are just steps away. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was beautiful.

Make sure you ask for a room away from the railroad. Our window was literally 25 feet from the railroad track. Although the front desk lady told us the train doesn’t pass at night, it did three times from 9 pm to 7 am, and the one at 4 am blew its horn when passing.
