Great place to stay!
-
Wonderful place to stay and good food in restaurants especially the blueberry pancakes for breakfast.

My favorite hotel one of the few hotels that still has an original touch, not just a chain or overly modernized hotel. I hope it stays exactly as it is forever!

Great breakfast. Good location. However, the parking for the townhome was so far away and downhill, paths not well lit. Do not stay there if you have a cane or are in need of walking assistance. All the bedrooms are up steep staircase. Only one bathroom to sleep 8?? Bizarre. I asked the front desk for laundry detergent for washer and dryer in unit and they told me to go to CVS.

The property was beautifully maintained and sat on the main street of Freeport. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a beautiful sitting room that felt both respectful to the age of the property while being updated and modern. The tavern and restaurant on property were great as well. It was close walking distance to both restaurants and shopping. It was busy yet didn’t feel overwhelming. Nice place to stay.

Rooms were very comfortable, although there was no daily maid service unless specifically requested.

It was great

Beautiful, traditional place to stay. Like something out of an old movie without being old fashioned. Very clean, wonderful cozy atmosphere and excellent staff. Very good parking facilities and a solid continental breakfast selection.

The Harraseeket Inn is top tier in all respects. From the historic and well maintained buildings and grounds to the welcoming staff and fine dining experience. I highly recommend this destination for anyone on an adventure in Maine.

We've stayed in this hotel a few times and plan to come back

Hotel had its old glory but is still well-maintained. Towels are not cheap - they still offer robes and slippers. Room a bit small for a family of 5 but it’s okay. Bathroom is spacious. Wished there’s a small microwave in the room when my kids like fresh-popped popcorn at night. Staff is okay. There is FREE afternoon tea with reasonable offerings. Breakfast is free but with no hot food items - understandable because it is part of a restaurant that also has to sustain itself - breakfast items are comparable to prices outside. But food not so great - my kids didn’t like the scrambled eggs nor the French toast or bacon. Coffee is good. Location is excellent! Walking distance to the outlet - area is small but good for a short stroll. They have SMOREs for kids when the fire pit is on at night.

Those little things that you don’t notice or really expect, when you experience them, and when they’re provided exceptionally well, they may seem insignificant, but when they’re done, you realize how special it is when they are. That was my experience at the Harraseeket Inn in Freeport, Maine. Every detail seemed to be covered. Every interaction with the staff, from the front desk to the custodial staff, was welcoming and professional. Every part of our stay exceeded expectations. It was a very nice and clean hotel with a comfortable but stately vibe. This was an exceptional hospitality experience. I would gladly stay there again and recommend it without hesitation.

This place is now on our must re-visit list. It's a beautiful old inn, very New England and a fantastic place to relax. Afternoon tea is a must, a beautiful calm room that we spent much of a day reading books together while enjoying tea and coffee. Staff is incredible and kind to talk to, the room was simple but well appointed. We would often enjoy a decaf cup of coffee in the evenings. Originally we planned on not staying around the hotel much but once we got there we changed plans and spend a lot of our time inside the inn.

It needed places in the bathroom to use hair appliances and or makeup space. Also needed places to hang stuff in the bathroom
