The room was clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. This location was convenient to many wonderful restaurants and the shopping in Freeport.

Clean hotel and courteous staff

My wife and I had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites in Freeport ME. The hotel was extremely clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Our room was very quiet and the bed comfortable. Our room was on the front of the hotel, facing Route 1. This was the quieter side of the hotel, as the rear of the hotel faces I-295 (a much noisier highway). We also want to highlight the quality and variety of the free breakfast buffet at the hotel - excellent selection of items! The Costa coffee maker was pretty cool and made a great cup of coffee. And the cinnamon rolls were about the best we've ever had from a hotel breakfast buffet. One last point - we like the location of the hotel a lot. It was close to the on/off ramp to I-295 and about 2 miles south of downtown Freeport. Less than half a mile from the hotel there is a gas station and a Shaw's supermarket.

Great location friendly staff

This was a much needed improvement from the previous hotel we were in in which we had to leave emergently for safety concerns. For those wondering it was the quality Inn suites South Portland please do not stay. anyway, we were greeted with a nice smile and wonderful atmosphere the front desk receptionist **MISHKA** even anticipated our needs seeing that I had a family of six giving us extra towels and sheets without being asked. throughout the stay each and every staff member was very helpful and welcoming, making for a wonderful end our trip I’ve ever in this area again. We were absolutely choose to stay here again. Also thank you *ADAM* he was great as well

Clean room help stop easy check-in and check out

My girlfriend slipped on the pool stairs and bleed one of her toes and hurt her back really badly because the step was too slippery for some reason. The excessively slippery pool stairs was further confirmed by another person there who said she was a regular user of that pool in that very hotel. when we mentioned this to the staff, they did not really show much interest in it. The long car ride that day after leaving the hotel proved that the injury from that slip and fall was much worse than we thought at the beginning. My girlfriend could hardly walk or sit the whole day and at the end of the day she is still suffering with occasionally bleeding toe and awful pain in her hip. We may have to go and see a doctor about this when we get home in a few days.

Great stay

Another nice hotel for budget conscious travelers. Nice room and good breakfast. Plenty of on-site free parking. Very comfortable beds.
-
Location Our room was dirty, hair under the sink, crumbs on the rug. Only reason we stayed was because it was a half way point to bar harbor.
-
Location, cleanliness, breakfasts—and I particularly loved the room amenities (lots of hooks and well-designed storage). My room was near the elevators and ice machine (noisy neighbors at times, but not too bad)

This was the 2nd time we stayed here. We came I believe April & this time again in same exact room. The April stay, the room was very clean. Only complaint at the time was no bathroom fan. This time around, still,no fan in bathroom. It’s a handicap accessible room, which was very well equipped on our first stay. Now, it appears to have several maintenance issues that need to be addressed. Bathroom smelled badly. Quite disappointing this time around.
