Comfort Suites Galveston Cruise Port Area – Beachside

It was really nice. Could have used a few more towels. But it was very nice and clean. Breakfast was really good.

Overall our stay was good however we used their shuttle for a cruise and waited an hour for them to pick us up when quoted only 25 minutes. They were very helpful but when we arrived for our stay the room was not cleaned at all. We left and came back three hours later and it still wasn’t completely clean. Not mad about the stay at all but was very frustrated waiting in the heat for our shuttle back.

Good

Nothing. Seemed so anti social. Staff seemed very distant. 1st time this had happened. We did arrive early, 12ish, and asked about when we could actually get our room. Barely looking at us stated, it would cost $30 or $40 extra. Also when we did book in at our 3:00 time, we were hit with a $135 charge to use the shuttle service to Carnival. No prior information about a rate hike had been given. The main reason we book at Comfort was the low price for shuttle. Might as well book closer to Ship and walk.

I finally had a bed in a hotel that I could just sit down on!

Complementary breakfast, pool/hot tub, location! Breakfast lady was a little moody. Different items for every other day for breakfast. Ex: bacon one day, sausage another and then potato hash one day and tater tots another.

Staff was very nice. Proximity to the beach was great No towels by the pool as promised.

Exceptional

Superb

It was fine.

Convenient Super expensive for quality of hotel

When we arrived to our room the door was unlocked and opened. The bathroom was taped off like they were getting ready to paint, but hadn't. One of the beds had metal sticking out of the bottom that could have been dangerous. Room had no garbage can, told front desk, but we were never given one.

Exceptional

Nice balcony view

Location and price were fine Room smelled of mildew, they only clean the rooms every three days, they didn't have towels...I guess they ran out. Breakfast wasn't replenished with food. Carpet was filthy and entire place was dirty. Pool needed work done to it, missing tiles and sharp edges. No dresser or place to put our clothes. Tile was painted in bathroom. Entire place needs remodel or demolition.

Very good

Clean room

We enjoyed our stay, the staff was kind and the breakfast was very nice.

They were so friendly and accommodating to us. We drove in the day before our cruise left our vehicle there for a week the shuttle dropped us off and picked us up from the port. We'll definitely stay there again

The location is great, its walking distance to the fishing pier and the beach just off the Seawall. There is also a bowling alley and movie theater right next door. The parking situation around the building is crazy at times.
