Galveston Beach Hotel

No problems, place was clean, breakfast was good, staff were great

Expedia booked me for day after i asked. When i asked to change for the day i booked Expedia extra charge me $9.38 x2 even was Expedia fault. Very confused about that.

Everything felt dirty and old and moldy

They accomodatied our early check in, and late check out. Breakfast was decent, eggs, waffles, bagels ect. The location is great, right across the street from the beach. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony and looked out at over Gulf. The pool was very clean and refreshing. Staff was extremely kind and helpful. Overall, we had the best time. We had 2 rooms and they made sure we were right next to each other. First time staying here but will definitely be back.

Room needed a lot of work, smelled of mildew, closet was broken, and would not open. Bathroom shampoo dispenser was broken, fridge was rusted, pillows were old and flat, mattresses were uncomfortable, and walls were bubbling and peeling paint. Sounded like someone was pounding on walls in the middle of the night or throwing shoes. Balcony hand rail was worrisome. We didnt try the pool as it is small and was over crowded. Breakfast nook was crowded, but was ok. The beach is across the street so I am sure some of the rooms get beach views. The hotel itself smelled of covered up mildew with bad carpet.

Dingu, outdated and not clean. Staff somewhat helpful but young and oblivious to good customer service techinques. Cruise parkingis misleading. Not at hotel but in a vacant field across thier parking lot. My car alarm was triggered twice while on my cruise.

Nice hotel, a bit older but I love the balcony, it’s very close to the beach and the beds are comfortable.

Balcony overlooking the outdoor pool and the beach was really nice. It gets lots of sun on the west side of the property. Complimentary Breakfast includes cereal, instant oatmeal, coffee, milk, cream cheese and bagles, hot biscuits and gravy and make-your-own waffles; served 6:30a-9am daily. Quiet property. This is the second time we have stayed here, will defintely stay here again.
