Galveston Beach Hotel

Paid for balcony Door to balcony was locked and maintenance never came to open it

Location directly across the street from the beach. Comfortable beds, cold AC, great included breakfast and easy self parking. This is a budget friendly/family place. Older building but you can tell some upgrades are happening.

The room was clean and comfortable, but balcony door was hard to open and super hard to close. The walls by the balcony door definitely needs to be redone. Elevator was always wet and smelled bad. Other than that bed was comfortable

I booked 2 rooms. both where nice and clean. Breakfast was amazing crisby bacon, eggs done and not runny. Salsa tasty . And delicious beautiful bagels. Lots more. Loved it and priced right. Thank you.

Door didnt lock properly was open at check in. No hot water, tv remote didn't work had to manually change channel and turn off and on. Hallways dirty and stained. Did I complain to desk? NAH!!! Overnight lady with the bonnet on didn't looked like she was to bothered.... Much better properties on the island and cheaper too... AVOID THIS 1

The overall condition of the property is sadly poor. It needs serious maintenance. The door in the parking area that leads directly to the elevator did not lock so anyone could go to any floor even if they were not staying there.

Bring your blanket... the hotel doesnt have blankets or comforters for the beds.

Dirty rooms, dirty hotel. Inside and out of hotel dirty. Only 2 pillows on each bed and bed sheets didn't even fit the bed properly. Exposed mattress and poor quality mattress. The bedding didnt even smell clean. A cheap place to sleep but worth even worth the $85 a night. No breakfast meats at breakfast either just eggs.

Mattress was old and I could feel coils but bed was clean. Original room view was of thrash dumpsters. Had to upgrade to room with gulf view with balcony for $184 more. This was my birthday trip so I had to guarantee a myself a memorable stay. TV was small for the room size!

Mi habitación olía a humedad tú que ir para que me la cambiaran , la segunda habitación la puerta principal de entrada no abría y para pasar al balcón tampoco ,las paredes tenían moho , tuve que ir de nuevo para que me dieran otra habitación esa estaba un poco mejor , el elevador tanto funcionaba bien, ese hotel no se lo recomiendo a nadie fue una estancia muy desagradable .

Rooms were clean staff was great.aircondition was cool. Only complaint is that the TV had hardly any channels. Everything else is great 👍

The property’s proximity to the Seawall was great the only thing that was disappointing was that the property needs a good cleaning. I didn’t see any bugs or anything was there were places on the walls that things had been smeared on and the floors had broken cracked tiles and didn’t look like a mop or broom had been on them in quite a while. The room was clean except the bathroom floor looked rough but I think that was more paint splatters that were never cleaned up. The floor had not been swept.

It was nice and clean we where very comfortable

I liked the access to the beach and the hotel was clean.

It was very nice stay just wished since it was my birthday we had beach front patio instead of the side of building no view and really noisy on first floor

I sometimes read reviews, but usually don't find them all that helpful. the pictures were very nice, polished I would say now. I a trying scale, 2/10. There was some effort but not much. I can not recommend you stay there.

Very clean and spacious room, hotel staff was great. The breakfast was absolutely amazing!! Overall I give Galveston Beach Hotel five stars Thank y'all so very much for accommodating myself, my husband, and my son and his family all in the same room

The hotel appeared to be an old one that had been poorly remodeled. All the public spaces we were in seemed dirty and worn out - cloth furniture was dirty in the lobby, seams ripping in the hall carpet, etc. Our bathroom fixtures were clean but the floor in the whole room was dirty. Thankfully the bed was clean and comfortable. The a/c worked well and we were glad since it was August. The elevators have no air conditioning, nor did the vestibule in the parking garage. We did not use the breakfast service or even go into that room.
