Bear Creek Inn

If you want to see some bears in Gatlinburg this is the place for you. We say bears everyday of our stay. There is a creek that they come down to get water and it is right behind the hotel. You can sit on the balcony and watch them. They are beautiful.

The only thing about this property that was half way decent was the view of the creek behind the property. The glass on the glass door leading out to the small balcony was painted black ,the room was very bare minimum and smelled strongly of disinfectant...the price we paid was deff not representative of the lack of quality of the room or motel itself ! We won't stay there again .

Lovely view from the balcony. Comfortable beds, nice shower, large compact refrigerator and freezer.

Initially, the first appearance was concerning. But, the room was very good for the price.

Greg the front counter guy was awesome. It’s a good place to stay. Nothing fancy but it was great for us.

vending machines out of order. overall you get what you pay for. very affordable.

Everything was great except the balcony situation. They are right next to adjacent room balconies with no privacy. I would suggest installing some kind of barrier between them. We probably won't stay here again because of this issue.

I loved the balcony and the sound of the river, I even saw bears right underneath my balcony which was very cool. The room itself was decent the only issue was the mattresses were truly awful and should have been replaced 10 years ago, I could not stay again because of that, I got the worst sleep here.

It is an awesome place to stay. Greg at the front counter is a super nice guy. Have stayed here both times we have came to Gatlinburg.

The balcony with the view of the creek was the selling point for us. I spent so much time sitting out there listening to the creek and enjoying the fresh air. I also appreciated the freezer in the mini fridge. It was easy to walk to the main Gatlinburg strip and attractions.

Everything was good

Room was dated but clean. Beds were comfy. Balcony sits right above the stream. Rushing water was nice to sleep to. It’s a little way from the strip, but it’s quiet and the price is right.

Nice size tv. There was no tables and just an office chair. Nice walk to town. Bed was comfortable. View to small creek was nice.

Good stay with great view off the balcony staff friendly and helpful

The staff was less than helpful. The room smelled. There wasn't covers on the electric outlets. My kids tried to use the Pepsi machine and the individual in the office told them their 1s were fake money. Never again.

Nothing fancy but the balcony over the river makes up for any qualms. The room was clean and the staff was helpful. I’ve stayed here before and will gladly stay again.

There was a little bit of trash around the creek, but other than that, it was absolutely beautiful outside the balcony. I had gotten used to not taking phone charger plug-ins with me because all hotels had USB ports this hotel does not. Other than that, I will stay there again very happy with the hotel and the staff.

We stayed 3 nights and it was nice for the price. We saw a bear outside!

Great place for the price

I don’t mind old but I do mind clean. The hotel was very dirty overall. The outside is pretty littered and neither the front of the hotel nor the balconies seem to have been cleaned in years. You can tell they tried to slap dash some paint as a mode of remodel. The room was humid and the bathroom and towels smelled moldy. The elevator has not seen a broom or a wipe in forever. It’s not worth the cheap price. Spend a little more money so you can actually enjoy your stay.
