Very nice staff with spacious rooms. Cleaning staff was excellent. Breakfast room was very small and cramped when trying to get food and coffee. Food selections weren't great and the coffee imo was not drinkable but tastes vary. Overall a pleasant stay with wonderful balcony views and sounds.

Really nice stay and great location, pity about the rude lady working in the breakfast area but aside from that it was a lovely stay!

Creek side balcony was so nice. Enjoyed the breakfast and the pools were nice. The location was perfect.

We loved the Bearskin and if our travels take us back to Gatlinburg we will stay there again. It is plain and not fancy or luxury, but the staff are warm and welcoming and we immediately felt at home. You are very close to the National Park entrance/you can get there without going through Gatlinburg. You can also walk from the Bearskin to a variety of very good restaurants.

Favorite place to stay in Gatlinburg! Coffee 24/7. Friendly staff. Peaceful environment. Rooms are spacious. Balcony is great. Can walk everywhere. Parking is easy. Thank you!

We had a very nice stay for our anniversary weekend! Our favorite part was the location because all of the bars and restaurants are in walking distance.

We stay at the Bearskin every summer for several days, and we are always pleased with the service and comfort.

The pros: Room and resort very clean. Room size was great (little bigger than typical)we loved the river view balcony. Location is amazing. I appreciated the free parking and there was a sufficient number of parking spaces. It’s on the trolly route so your car is only needed when heading into the park. Everyone we interacted with was so friendly and helpful. The cons: The breakfast was horrible (low quality, minimal options, no variety, no space to sit). We tried it 3 times and left the 2nd and 3rd time to go buy breakfast elsewhere. I don't need a whole lot to chose from or eat which is why a hotel free breakfast is ideal. But I had no options. For example, the pancake machine looked cool but it didn’t cook the cakes (still runny in center). The foods listed were not there (even early morning). The toast didn’t fit in the toaster. The “creamy” peanut butter was so old it was crunchy. I hoped that the water at breakfast was filtered but it was not. Only other con was there were people smoking on the balcony and at front door where it’s “no smoking”. A little follow through from staff is needed. If it hadn’t been for the worst hotel breakfast I have ever had, definitely a 5 star review in all other ways. Just budget and plan for breakfast elsewhere.

Breakfast is a joke. It's more like a snack from. No real choice

Everything Great stay
-
Beautiful view of the creek but the hotel needs major update. Floor was uneven, bathroom fan was really loud and the pool area looks really outdated. Also, the picture of the lazy River looks bigger online than it actually is. Plus the staff sounded like they had some issues with each other.

We had a clogged toilet and when I spoke to the front desk, the lady gave me a plunger to open it myself. She told me that she would try to find someone if I was unable to get it fixed. The pool is in the parking lot and there is a lot of wasps at in the parking lot.

Overall it was very clean. However, the lobby has an old musty cigarette odor, which was not a great first impression. . The rooms are out dated. The staff were nice.

My wife and I are return guest to the Smokies and usually stay in cabins. The Bearskin was alright, just alright. I thought the property was clean but old. I thought the price was a little high for the facilities. Probably will not return, will try another facility.

Very clean, staff was friendly. The bonfire at the pool was really nice!
-
Clean and great location for accessing the smokies and other areas of Gatlinburg. Slightly dated but our river view room was nice. Enjoyed the fireplace and lodge style decor. My kids enjoyed cooling off in the small pool area. For the location it was worth it.

Staff was helpful

It was a nice stay. Seemed more for adults which I loved because my kid had the entire pool to herself. She was happy. I will be back.
