SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Gatlinburg

When we were getting ready for our first night we noticed the room wasn’t properly cleaned. There was food on the floor and the chair in the room has a big white stain on it. The sliding door from the bathroom did not close properly which made it difficult to shower comfortably. The showete faucet kept dripping and water was spilling out of the shower. We were very dissapointed with the room conditions, since we had high expectations from the reviews we had read online. We would not consider staying here again.

The rooms were cleaned and we'll maintained. We had a standard room the first night and a suite for the following 2 nights. Both are good but I highly recommend the suite if available! All room have a beautiful view of the river. The location is excellent with close proximity to the National Forest, restaurants, and walking distance to Ober Mountain.

The room had a strong smell

The room was cheap and clean but the mildew smell was overwhelming. I just wanted to get out of that room right away. It didn't seem healthy to breathe in all night. I told the front desk staff and they said that they try to clean the air conditioners every spring but the smell just comes back because of the river right by it.

After spending hours on the road and ready to check-in we were ignored by the staff for several minutes while training was happening. No "hello", no "so sorry", nothing. Like we were the issue. I should have known then that this property was going to be a disappointment. Looked like urine in the corner of the walkway right outside the elevator. The room was not clean, with stains on furniture. The wardrobe was broken. The door to the room was so hard to open you had to shoulder it. Worst place we have stayed in a long time. Very disappointed. Do not recommend!

Nice size room with a balcony overlooking the river. Very good breakfast with many choices. Room was clean though some stains on quilts. Great water pressure with efficient hot water. Though the room itself was nice, the exterior could use updating. Door into room was peeling, and it took some time to empty the trash just outside the room.

I'll start with the positive. The bed was very comfortable and the water pressure and hot water in the shower were good. Now the rest. The staff was not helpful. The shower design made it so the water spills out from the curtain and the floor gets all wet. The toilet flush button made it very hard to flush. There was no cover on the sink drain and I found a roach in the toilet (I mentioned this to a staff member but nothing was done to accommodate us). The A/C made room very humid. And the breakfast is not replenished by 9:15 AM (or earlier). We would not stay here again.

Sure stay is located right next to the GSMNP entrance providing easy access to the park and its attractions. It’s also located near all of the shops and restaurants in downtown Gatlinburg which are within easy walking distance. Free parking is included so there’s no extra cost for parking. The room was clean and comfortable and well maintained. It was also reasonably priced.

The hot breakfast was very appreciated, and the assortment of foods was good. The staff kept everything full, including condiment, napkins, plate, etc.

Staff were overworked but so helpful and kind. Breakfast was great and loved the view and sounds of the river from the balcony with my morning coffee.

Hotel was very roomy as expected and whatever we needed was granted! I will stay here again They didn’t have washer and dryer for you to use…

Very friendly staff, spacious room, beautiful river view porch, excellent location close to main area and really good breakfasts.

The rooms were really clean. The shower had plenty of hot water.

The night shift check in girl was pleasant that's about it for this property. The images of this place are false advertisement. Dirty and run down every inch. Parking too tight and people roaming around all night, felt unsafe and try to make the room as secure as possible. Elevator appears and acts to be on its last leg. I feel Expedia should refund us for this stay. Waste of money

When I called she was nasty with me. She told me "'II tell you what I usually tell people. If you're gonna be that picky, then maybe you shouldn't choose a moderate to lower price hotel. It was like one hair and a couple crumbs. He could have easily just changed the sheets and he said you weren't havin none of that." (I was extremely kind but just firm in not wanting to stay there.) I said I didn't trust the cleanliness level, and that it's reasonable not to want to find pubic hair and dirty sheets and it's disgusting. She said "you're throwing around words like nasty and disgusting, and that's why I'm not gonna" (give me the refund.) I asked for the owners number and she laughed and said, "you're not getting that." I am honestly just shocked. Beware.

The carpet of our room was wet when we arrived. The pull out sofa bed had literal (what I'm assuming were) blood stains on it. We had to purchase a blow up mattress for some of our kids to sleep on because there's no way I was letting them sleep on a stained and dirty sofa bed. One of the dressers had the front cover broken off, exposing several screw points. We also asked for extra sheets and a blanket for the kids to use on the blow up mattress. We received the sheets and were told the blanket would be delivered and it never came. Overall not terrible but the sofa bed was absolutely disgusting and I cannot get over the state of it.

Creek view Rude staff, elevator broke

The room was great for the price, but in the same regard, you get what you pay for. Check in is at 3:00. We got there at 3:30 and were told our room wasn’t ready because they had an issue with elevators so they couldn’t clean rooms as fast as normal. This is fine but there was no mention of this possibility when they messaged me to see if they could process my credit card. We’d have taken our time instead of showing up only to be told it “may” be an hour more and to not rush back. There is no real way to be quiet about going in and out the door to the balcony. It felt like the walls and door were paper thin as you could hear the comings and goings of all on your floor and the surrounding outdoors. The staff was kind but the property needs to be updated.

i have stayed at this property many times in a king suite wuth a private balcony this time a king suite but with a shared balcony our first time this has happened we like privacy for our moring coffee and leisurley evenings not sharing a balcony with kids are room was301 wepaid for upgraded room for privacy did not get it
