We stayed in what must be the older section and it needs upgraded badly. Be sure to pay more for better rooms because it is a great place to stay & in a great location!

This was the 2nd year we have stayed at Sidney James. We like the location in proximity of the convention center. We have utilized the Poolside Cafe for breakfast and lunch. This year we got to use the pool and the hot tub, which was quite foamy when we got into it. No issues with staff. The room was decent. It needs a carpet shampoo, had a sink that drained slow, and an outlet needs to be replaced (cord fell out), which we let staff know about the issues upon check out. Breakfast was great. Biscuits just melted in your mouth and fell apart. We’ll be back next year!

Great location, nice amenities, nice staff! Will be back!

Clean room, staff was very nice. They had, had a fire in one if the wings in April. We were there in June and looked like nothing had been done yet. The pool was wonderful indoor and out. They have a restaurant at the pool which was nice. Breakfast was good too.

Only downside is the poolside cafe spent 40 bucks for 3 sandwichs and they weren't good at all, also the bathtub in the rooms are slippery when the water is on fell twice would recommend a nonslip mat

We were assigned a motel style room on across the street from the main hotel where the pool and hot tub are. Very disappointing and definitely NOT 3 STAR quality!!!

Everything. We have used this hotel more then once and it's been amazing every time.

Thought everything was very clean . The location was good but the rooms needed updated
-
The staff is super nice and accommodating. The place is in a super location. It was our first time, but it won't be our last. Planning on returning next year.

Liked the indoor pool area, very clever.

Wonderful for solo travelers!

The pool was great! Room was clean and nice enough for the price point. Noice level in the surrounding rooms was pretty intense. Breakfast was not included, and the pool side cafe food was trailer-park level, low-grade, instant cook garbage and cost $35 for 2 very basic and kinda gross plates. Highly recommend eating breakfast elsewhere.

We enjoyed our stay here. The lodge could use an update to the rooms but it worked for us for 2 nights. We did see a bear while staying there which was a highlight. The pools were great the kids loved them. It is super convenient to have the trolly right outside of the hotel!

This place was horrible and the staff were rude

Love the amenities and proximity to the fun!

The inside pool area was beautiful. I thought we had booked a room on creekside with a balcony and a jacuzzi. When we checked in we ended up with a small room with one queen bed, a tub that didn’t drain, with no balcony. The room was clean. The staff was nice. We saw bears in the parking lot. We ended up paying to move to the room I thought we had booked originally. The outside pool was full of a lot of people having a fantastic time playing. We did try the breakfast early one morning and it was very good. We enjoyed our time spent in Gatlinburg, and our stay at Sydney James Mountain Lodge.

The place is getting quite worn. Definitely needs updating.

The front desk clerk at check in was grouchy. The room was great! We love the balcony. The pools and hot tub were nice but kids and alcohol drinking adults made it difficult for my daughter and I to enjoy them at certain times.

The staff at check in was really nice, the bed was comfortable, shower water pressure was good. Mostly quiet. Hotel itself was a little outdated, no microwave in the room.
